Are these cables worth the $30 price tag? I have a 62" HDTV and I really want the best image quality from my games, but I want to make sure these cables aren't a rip-off (the Nintendo brand ones).

I own a standard definition tv and it has component outputs in the back and the difference is very noticble. Everything is brighter and little more detailed, so if you own a HD tv then the difference should be better than mine standard definition tv.

Yes it's worth it.

I don't understand it. You pay for the TV and you pay for the Wii but 30 bucks is too hefty a price to make sure it's connected correctly?

Just get the cables (first party, don't mess with anything else) and enjoy the picture.

Well actually, my parents paid for the TV lol. I just purchased the cables and I'm pretty impressed. I did a comparison of Zelda with and without the cables, and the quality is so much more vibrant. Thanks for the help.

They do make a huge difference in texture and color, but they add jagged edges which I believe is just a side-effect, if you will, of the sharper image. Overall, however, the quality is so much better.

Yup, because you see a cleaner image you see every single bit which also included the blemishes

Glad to hear you have it set up and enjoy it

You have to set the wii for 480p if you tv can handle it as well. In the gamecube games press b on your controller as the game loads to get the option to boot in progressive scan.
