I don't know what they're officially called, but they go over your wiimote so that if you drop or throw it, it wont damage things around you. It also works for a grip.

Since I bought my wii the Christmas it came out, I had to order them (for free) from nintendo. At first I didn't like it, but now I cannot imagine playing with out it.

What are your thoughts?

Yeah, I hadn't got my covers yet and some family came over during the holidays. They kept complaining about the 'feel' not working right because of the lack of grips and stuff. I didn't believe them and told them to toughen up (yeah, I'm nice). But now that I have had mine for a couple of weeks it does feel different to not have them on.

I love em! They look kinda goofy, but it gives a much better grip and offers great protection for the wiimote. Pretty sweet product to get for free I'd say.
