My Wii-mote is experiencing difficulties. When I turn on the system, everything is fine. It can point and click, and responds to movement fine, but everytime I boot a game, it stops reacting to motions. (ie: in Madden, it won't hike the ball, in Strikers it won't check, and in Wii Sports, my Mii just swings, and swings at nothing, without anyone touching the remote.) I've pulled the batteries and replaced them with fresh ones, re-synced the remote and powered the system down for 5 minutes...Anything else I should try before giving in and buying a new Wii-mote?

Hmm, it sounds like the accelerometer is out-of-order. Still, if you haven't already, try unplugging the system for several minutes. If that doesn't work, it's unfortunately the controller.

Oh, but note that the controller should still be under warranty. So don't hesitate to call Nintendo.

Yeah, tried that, but I'll give it another shot. $40 is a bit much for another one...=(

Well like I said, the controller should still be under warranty.
