Fixes to both:
Clean your controller and wash your hands before you use it.
That and don't smoke around the Wii, it also causes disc read errors.

I wash my hands.....i have never smoked (im 16)..and the disk is not the problem anyway
that didn't happen to me...yet
but something bothers me, my wii remote seems to have turned a little yellow

Woah.... the control stick turned yellow in my nunchuks. It's really annoying everything else looks clean but just the control stick is just yellow. Sigh....
Have the shiny parts turned yellow, or just the matte parts? Use some sort of abrasive cleaner on the matte parts meant to remove stains from kitchen surfaces, like Vim. If you use that on the shiny parts, you might turn them matte with scratches. And use the wiimote jacket to protect it from getting discoloured.
If a button squeaks or clicks, use machine or key oil on it (not olive or sunflower oil!)
