to somehow increase the connection/loading speed of the Wii Shop Channel. I have the fastest internet connection possible that my ISP offers and it still takes quite a long time to connect/load.

Just my 2 cents.

Anyone agree?

Have you tried changing the Wireless Channel to 1? I have a pretty fast internet connection. I get over 10Mbps download and over 1.2 Mbps upload and the Wii shop channel was slow for me, until I changed the Wireless channel to 1. I have a bunch of people on my block that have WiFi and the default channel for wireless routers is Channel 6. So try changing it to 1 or 11. It worked for me and it might work for you.

thats what I was going to say right now, try channel1 or 10 or 11, it would work alot faster, trust before it took me 4 hours to download super mario bros, and after I changed it i downloaded zelda OoT, in less than 3 minutes

Log into your wireless router. Once logged in, you should have an option that says Wireless Settings. Click on that and then you will see an option that says Channel. Click the drop down menu and then select the channel you want. Then save the changes. And you are done.

There should be an explanation of how to login to your router in its documentation, if you're not sure.

If you have Windows XP, do the following:

1. Click start, Then run. You will get a little box that will pop up.

2. In the box type CMD and then hit OK. This will open the command prompt(black window)

3. In the command prompt typ in ipconfig and then hit enter. This will bring up some information.

4. Now look for the line that says Default Gateway and then you will see an IP address. With Linksys it is usually 192.168.15.1. Once you have the ip address, open Internet Explorer.

5. Enter the IP address into the address bar and then hit enter. That should take you to the router page. You will most likely have to enter a username and password to log in.

6. After entering the username and password, you should be able to find the wireless settings and change the channel.
