WiiU backwards compatible; whats your essential Wii collection?

What Wii games would you want to carry over to your new WiiU? I would probably want:

Donkey Kong Returns

Sin and Punishment

Super Mario Bros

maybe the new Zelda too, but i have a sneaking suspicion that there will be a WiiU version of that game anyway.

I dont want backwards compatible, i want NEW games when i buy a new system not play old games. I own only Zelda and Monterhunter atm for Wii.

The essential for me would be

-Super Mario Galaxy 2

-Super Mario Galaxy

-Punch-Out!!

-Donkey Kong Country Returns

-New Super Mario Bros. Wii

-Metroid Prime Trilogy

-Metroid Other M

-Sin and Punishment Star Successor

I consider all of these 9.0+ level games

Since i barely played any of the wii games on offer, heres the list i would like to play on the WiiU:

Madworld ( Played it, never finished it )
Mario Galaxy Games 1&2
Monster Hunter
Conduit 2
Metroid Games
Resident Evil Games
Zelda games

The list goes on and on >.< But i will fortunately be able to play them when the Wii-u releases :D

Hmm. That's a toughie - and my list would certainly be smaller than the other consoles (well, maybe not the PS3).

No More Heroes is out immediately because it's getting a better PS3 revision. Same with House of the Dead Overkill.

• Boom Blox Bash Party (my favourite of the 'this could have been done only on the Wii' games)
• Mario Galaxy
• Mario Galaxy 2
• Monster Hunter Tri
• Little King Story (even though it should have had classic controller support)
• Zack & Wiki
• Sin & Punishment 2
• Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

Mario Kart is out because there will be a better (and better looking) version on the WiiU, most likely. NSMB is a tempting addition, but it really depends on my mood because the game is way too easy and the bosses are terrible.

And I feel a bit weird adding RE4 on there, but it is the definitive version at this point.

As long as the Wii U has Monster Hunter and a good bunch of RPGs, I'll be happy. That said...my Wii collection is seriously lacking.

Everything in my collection at this point, all games I wouldn't consider getting rid of :)

Literally everything not including those bad sonic games like unleashed, zero gravity and black knight.

There are quite a few Wii games I will want to play on our WiiU.

Mainly the good Mario games,

Zelda games.. like Skyward Sword.

Other games like The Last Story and XenoBlade if they ever come to The States.

WiiU to be backwards compatible with the Wii, isn't much of a request. I mean seriously it uses the same controllers for the most part. (other than the 1 controller)

I can almost gauruntee that there will be Wii games (that I haven't played, actually I haven't played any) That wouldn't be part of that that collection, if some "arbitrary body" decided what would be, and not be in it. That I would love to play!

My essaentials game would be;

SSBB

Zelda:SS ( if it turns out being really good )

DK:Returns

Fire Emblem:Radiant Dawn/Arc Rise Fantasia

Mario Galaxy 2/NSMBW

Mario Kart Wii

Metroid Prime Trilogy

I'd bring my whole collection since I don't sell them, but if I can only pick essentials...I gotta have my platformers:

SMB:Wii

Klonoa

A boy and his blob

Epic Mickey

Rabbids go home

Sonic colors

Little king's story (It's not a platformer but it is an essential!:P)

LOL, yeah I can see how it seems like I implied that there were, but its not what I mean't to do.

What I mean't was all the Mario games that (we want) to play.. And yeah there are a few that are kinda meh, but not really bad ones.I myself am not really big on the Mario Party games.

What I really want its Mario 64 (vc), Super Mario RPG (VC) and maybe Paper Mario.

Galaxies 1 and 2.

New SMash Bros, Karts, New Super Mario Bros. Hopefully new Luigi's Mansion.

We are about to buy the original for the GC soon.
