WiiU could do with a couple of shooters FPS or TPS.

I enjoy the occasional Shoot'em Up as of the likes of CoD, Timesplitters, Gears, Resident Evil especially when you can play Co-Op in your own living room with one using the Tablet and the other person using the TV. Do you think the WiiU will get many of these types of games in the near future as currently from the top of my head that there will only be MW3 this year which is kind of a downer as i'm not to interested in IW offerings.

And the variation in control schemes is quite awesome from using nunchuck, tablet and Pro Controller.

PS : I'm not a Bro-Gamer who just plays shooters but i enjoy variation of games from Platformers to RPG's.

Hmm. Possibly. I'd imagine after the devs stop circle jerking over the new consoles this holiday, they might start supporting the Wii U a bit more in the second half of 2014. At which point you might see some shooters down scaled from the PS4 and One. But I wouldn't count on being a huge amount of them.

Metroid Prime is the only real exclusive FPS series they've got really. They need something like a Halo, Gears of War, or Destiny, but exclusive. Playstation has Killzone and Resistance.MotionNight

If they make a new Metroid Prime, I think they could include a online MP component to the game similar to MP Hunters and with optional touch controls.

But I personally feel FPS makers aren't too fond of the WiiU seeing as how Crysis 3, BioShock Infinite, Metro: Last Light and Battlefield 4 were all cancelled for the WiiU and Black Ops 2 underperformed in sales.

And vice-versa may be true too, namely that the heads at Nintendo aren't too fond of FP shooters either. (altho ZombiU is technically a FPS)

The Wii U has some interesting technology that I'm sure could get used to make a great FPS if it's used properly :).

Personally, I'd like to see a Mega Man TPS/adventure platformer for the WiiU similar to Mega Man Legends but better.

Since he will be a playlable character in SSB.4, I think it would be nice if they made a new MM game too.

As a console that is still young, it still has a large number of genres to cover in a satisfying manner, but right now I would like to see a great adventure game. I do not feel like waiting for Zelda to arrive to get that.

the only shooter i want in wiius library is 007- and we already have one so boya then theres cod ,,  so what more do we need lol theres also re and sniper elite 2 mass effect 3 , i say we have enough shooting for now lol its only been out 7 mos , and you want to over flood it with shooters sorry i dont want another HD twin lol

Every FPS that's ever been on a Nintendo console has sold pretty poorly. Unless there is one I'm forgetting. The Conduit got a sequel but both underperfomed.

Cause you know those sold well!  Hell those games are some of hte main ones who really helped the N64.

But a Nintendo specific game could work, a 007 that utilizes the tablet controller.

But I would prefer a Golgo:13 game.. Though I have a feeling that might be a little too mature for current Nintendo.

I agree with you on all of it.  Except 2 things.

1. Turok is by Acclaim, and as far as I know, RARE, or MS had nothing to do with it. 

2. Add Golgo:13 to that list.  Last game I played of that series was on the NES.  which wasn't an FPS or TPS, but the game could easily be one.

I think Disney owns the Turok franchise now.

I haven't heard too positive things about the reboot though.

There's a lot of different shooters.

When people say "shooter" today, they ususally mean the formulaic FPS or TPS game.

But there are also rail shooters, space shooters, shooter/platformer hybrids, ect.

Personally, I'd rather play a really good rail/space shooter than another formulaic military/sci-fi FPS.
