Will 1 player still be fun ?(New SMB Wii)

Ok so what if you do not have anyone to play this game with? I friends are not really gamers for the most part and I will not likely have anyone to regularly play this with. With no WiFi, will this game still be fun for single player? This game will be likely a must buy for me but hopefully it won't be way less fun with 1 player.

Since I don't know of many of Nintendo's multiplayer games that are poor in the single-player department (you could probably make the case for Mario Party, but...), I'm going to say. Yes. :P It's a Super Mario game, afterall, and while the co-op part seems to be what is driving a lot of the game, I also expect my fun and challenging platforming. Off topic a bit, I wonder if you will be able to play as Toad in the single-player modes...?

That game looks more engaging in the single player department anyways. Did you not hear Nintendo, they said the multiplayer was a more casual fun feast with less levels. The single player includes every level.

It's a Mario platformer so definetly.

I wouldn't have thought it will be much different from the DS version in the single player, apart from some new levels and power-ups. For that reason, I see little point in buying it at this stage.

When watching the off screen footage at the show floor of one of the levels, it doesn't seem like the levels were made specifically for 2-4 players. The game is basically New Super Mario Bros. where more than one player can hop around in (which rocks my world!). In my opinion, the best made for handheld game ever made is New Super Mario Bros.! The single player will be AMAZING!
