So I'm pretty sure that I'm going to sell my Wii. I know there are some okay games coming out, but none really interest me that much. The conduit looks interesting, but we are all hoping that it is going to be as good as a usual PS3/ XBOX 360 game. Wii Sports resort looks good, but we are waiting a long time for something the Wii should have been able to get done in the first place, and I don't think it will be that fun for a long time anyways. Animal Crossing looks good as well but Home is kind of a similar concept which interests me more. I'm not a fanboy, I have tried all of the good games, it's not like I'm just saying Wii sucks, I actually like the Wii. I think I might regret it a bit and want to play from time to time but for me I think I will like the PS3 better. I can't wait for the next Zelda game, and when that comes out I will likely borrow my friends Wii after he is done with it. I'm going to back up everything on an SD card and then keep all of my favourite games. Good bye Wii

Do you think I'll regret it?!

You could conceivably sell your Wii, but unless it's absolutely required in order to finance your PS3, why would you?

I've got some old game consoles that are past their prime and I rarely play them anymore, but they're there so I have the option if I get an itch to play one of my old favorites.

Well yeah I kinda need the money to get it. I could get a PS3 and keep the Wii, but I would end up wasteing everything and oweing people and not having enough money for games either. Not to mention I would have to wait a bit too. It's not very practical I can only afford one.

You might regret it.

I am a Nintendo fanboy, but the Wii just isn't the most solid standalone console. If your only getting ONE console this gen, then get PS3 or Xbox 360.

I think you're right. When I get a job, I might buy myself another Wii and catch up on a few games.

Get a 360 because I haven't turned on my ps3 other than to play MGS4 which can be beaten within one day. All the big Wii titles are out and you've played them so why bother holding on to the system? Especially if you're bored or already done with it. I would highly recommend you wait till September and get a 360 Arcade for $199 or the new cheaper prime model.

Ignore him, he's just trolling.

Anyways, as zaku101 said, I'd lean more towards the 360 than the PS3 right now. The price change plays a part, but I think the online and DLC puts the 360 ahead of the PS3 - at least for now. That said, a lot of people would disagree with me, and it's just my opinion.

I want a PS3 more than the 360 becasue for the 360 you need to buy WiFi hardware, which costs $100, and you need to pay for the online as well, not to mention it has a higher crash rate, and PS3 is getting Wipeout HD which I'm looking forward to (also, microsoft might be coming out with a new system in a year or two and the PS3 is supposed to be around for a lot longer)

And what games make you want to play 360 more than PS3, zaku191?

I wouldn't recommend it unless you get $200+ for it plus any VC/WW games you have will be gone even if you put them on an Sd card. The only recommendation I can give is to either be patient and save your allowance or get a job.

I think I'll get $250 for it. I'll format my Wii also. I don't even care for the stuff I downloaded, I never play it anyways.

Its a rule my Dad taught me, "never sell a used console because you will never recoup what you payed for it". Of course you might be able to get more than its worth on EBay, because of how popular the Wii is, in which case the rule would not apply.

Yes, you will regret it when you find out a bunch of awesome exclusives are headed to the Wii.

Do what you want. I highly recommend keeping it. It's still going to get new games for the next couple of years. Hell, it might actually last as long as the PS2 at the rate it's going!

I would never sell my Wii because of how hard it was to get (I got it the day after launch).

However, I do not think the games are great and nothing coming up appeals to me whatsoever. Will you regret it??? Well, that depends on you and how much time you spend with the Wii

You might. There is going to be that one game down the line that you'll want but you wont have the Wii if you sell it.

My advice is save up for a second console, that's what I'm doing.

I made the mistake of relying on the Wii as my sole current gen console. So I bought a PS3 and now am much happier (games that gamers want). That said, I hung on to my Wii because:

There are still games coming out for it that I will want

The games I have now are classics that I wont ever want to give up (Twilight Princess, Metroid, Umbrella Ch., etc)

I never sell off my consoles or games, because I may want to play them later. Someday I'd like to give my future kid a tour through videogame history.

I just put mine up on eBay. Other than Super Mario Galaxy, I haven't found anything worth keeping it for. I realized this when I moved two months ago and never unpacked it and never missed it. But I have played GC and PS2 since then. Goodbye Wii. We're just not meant for each other.

you dont want it and i garentee there is someone out there clawing through a crowd to get one

so give it to someone who will actually enjoy it

not trolling just saying
