If all the separate games were AAA then shouldn't all 3 in one be AAAA?
I think this will be the best content on a single disc IMO.

Since all the games have been reviewed before, there's no reason for them to be reviewed again (except for the controls). Stranger things have happened though -- reviewers sometimes like to waste their time.It wont get a single one

Other than The Orange Box, nothing I know of rivals the Metroid Prime Trilogy. I don't think it'll get lots of AAAA, but mostly AAA. *stares at MGS ultimate pack* >.> *stares at OOT + masters quest* >.> (would never be the best compilation pack IMO, but probably many consider it, just because it's OoT). but seriously, what compilation are you talking about... *thinks of game&watch collection* nah, cant be... or can it? O_othe MGS essential collection takes the number one spot, though, it is not a single disc, but the first three MGS's for $50 is awesome
But the first MGS on that disc is the PS version right, I'll take Twin Snakes over that version any day of the week, so that brings that one down for me.the MGS essential collection takes the number one spot, though, it is not a single disc, but the first three MGS's for $50 is awesome

Will it even get reviewed?

This may truely tell if GS is Wii Racist. Metroid Prime Trilogy is just as good as Orange Box,so they shouldrate it. However they may not.
knowing GS, itll get a 7 lolstarwarsjunkyHaha, I can see it now: "not enough significant changes to warrant another purchase" :D

This is different though, the Orange Box added three new games as well as the other Half Life games.Seriously, if the game even gets reviewed anything under a 9/10 would be downright wrong. For the same price you got Prime 3 (8.5) plus two improved versions of 9+/10 games.
You could review it two different ways:
1. If you've never played them before, 9.5-10
2. If you've played them already, 8.5-9.0
Although with each of them you do have to consider budget pricing as well as some dated graphics. And of course new Wiimote control and Widescreen 480p on the first two.
The Orange Box perhaps? And no. It is 3 old games. You might as well wait some time and buy them all in a bargain bin and it would essentially be the same effect. It can't score higher than the highest scoring game in the series, which I believe was Prime 1 yes? Especially when you add in that the games are old and therefore aged. They may have aged decently like OOT, which to this day remains more playable and fantastic than most new releases, but they can't have improved over time. All this amounts to is a bargain deal on 3 great games, none of which are bettered in any way other than price (and motion controls but that's canceled out by the games being old).It wont get a single one

i already sold my copy of MP3 in anticipation of this since ive never played 1 or 2...
EDIT: has anyone heard if you can use MP3 save files?
Jayson is probably talking about the Genesis collectionlink027I doubt Jayson ever knows what he's talking about... :P Anyway, I think it would at best get a 9.5.

Im curious, which would that be?
I'm guessing he's talking about the Orange Box. That's the only one I can think of that's highly regarded by the gaming community.

Well seeing as most compilations like this have never been reviewed, I'm gonna say chances are slim.
I love how Jaysonguy always just leaves a comment to get everyone worked up for no reason and usually doesn't come back. That's the definition of a troll. He was probably talking about Super Mario Allstars or Orange Box anyway.
I don't think many sites will review MPT because its basically 3 older games which have already been reviewed and haven't been improved much.
What's the point of reviewing it? They already reviewed all 3 games separately.OreoMilkshake
The only reason I can think of would because of the first two games, which have been adapted for the Wii. But even then, I don't think that alone would warrant a full review. If anything, they'll probably make a post on the Reviews Blog about it.

we know how the first two games are like. we know EXACTLY how the new gameplay mechanics will work, and we've tested it and approved it when we played prime 3. not even the "new play control!" tag is worth a review. what we DO know is that they are 3 of the most awesome games from the past/current gen. and you can get all 3 for the price of a single game.It depends on what motion controls they threw into it. I mean if they added the pointer and that's pretty much it, I might pick it up just for fun (despite having all three already)... but if they tacked on motion controls for the sake of saying: "Look Metroid Prime now has Motion controls!" I won't bother at all. As such, I think most reviewers will be in the same camp. 9.5's or lower. It's hard to give something that was last gen with minor modifications a 10.raahsnavjthey said they implemented prime 3's (awesome) controls. maybe some random motion here and there. maybe.
Well, I think it will be reviewed, but I doubt it's going to get a single *professional* "10." Considering the fact that even IGN gave RE4 a 9 on the Wii, I doubt MPT is going to score any higher.
The only chance this game has of scoring a perfect 10 is if they throw in a TON of cool extras and/or sell the whole package for $30 . . . and that's only if the reviewer decides to go for a "bang for your buck" score inflation.
As long as the ports are solid and the new controls work well, I think this will get a lot of 8's and 9's. All that is moot, anyway, since I'm buying it regardless. :)
there's no reason it should get a 10. That would be like giving Twilight Princess (GC) a 9, and (Wii) a 10. They're the same game (minus the contols)
MP3 didn't get a 10 and absolutely nothing changed.
The only changes that were made were to the first 2 games and it was the controls, 16:9and bloom lighting. WOW!!! that makes it brand new!
the story is exactly the same.....
I'm not trying to knock it, it's definitely a must buy imo, but I'm not expecting it to be better than what it was before. They were already good in the first place
well, the first 2 will have better controls, so they WILL be better than before... but that's not enough to change the score, and therefore, reviewing it when NEW games could be reviewed sounds really stupid.there's no reason it should get a 10. That would be like giving Twilight Princess (GC) a 9, and (Wii) a 10. They're the same game (minus the contols)
