Super Paper Mario is an awesome new game, but it's hardly an end to a trilogy. Will there be a Paper Mario Cart? Paper Mario Bros.? I'd like to know what you guys think is in store for the future of the franchise.
It could go either way really. Mario is always adapting and changing, that's why there was a Paper Mario in the first place. Even when they make a real hit, they usually crank out a few sequels and then move on. The question isn't if they'll stop making Paper Marios, but when. Personally, I think they'll make one more sequel (if that) and then try out some new zany version of Mario.

Paper Mario is already an extension of an existing franchise, so they wouldn't branch it out again. Of course Paper Mario will continue, but I hope the next game goes back to turn based RPG gameplay.

Yeah I would like it to go back to the turned based RPG style again. But I have yet to play this one so I do not know how I will like it.
SPM looks good and all, and seems to be getting good scores, but I loved the first 2 paper marios and would have loved a sequel. Chances are we'll get one eventually.
