Currently Amazon.fr is offering the game Manhunt 2 for Wii and PS2and unlike .co.uk has not removed it from the listing.I am just wondering if the decision now to not put an AO game on their system will go and affect France which gave it an 18 rating

That's not a Nintendo of America ban. That ban of not allowing AO rated games is a ban from Nintendo and Sony headquarters. So as of right now, the game will not come out anywhere until the rating is lowered.

US and european rating systems differ greatly. here in the UK tonnes of games get rated "18" BBFC's equivelent of AO e.g. mortal kombat series, GTA series, manhunt 1. It will depend on nintendo's own interpritation of the individual rating system and the severity of the rating.

Even Microsoft bans AO rated games from their systems. Rockstar will tone down the game. They don't want to lose money.
