I read that the DS is a "third pillar" so I was wondering if Ninty will release another game boy handheld?

i hope they do the ds is getting boringXxBloodxDrxX
It's not getting boring. Just because you don't like the games, or are bored with them, doesn't mean that the system itself is boring.
I've played new-to-meN64 games and they are just as fun as my Wii. I think it's the game, not the system(most of the time).
Lol not really scribblenauts is hitting stores in 3 days and then Mario and Luigi Bowswers Inside Story pretty soon, then COP the recruit. so on and so forth...

Couldn't have said it better myself:P

Lol thanks, was like wow what is this guy talking about?! XD
DS is a Gameboy. All Nintendo has done is killed a name. There's plenty of games that don't require touch controls. In fact, some DS games are more comfortable with regular button control.
[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]nah, the DS is the new game boy.Yoweeh
Nee nee.
And I still don't see why people are so excited for Scribblenauts. :x
Even though I did pre-order mine, but we all know the real reason why that happened.
cause you are looking forward to the game?[QUOTE="Yoweeh"][QUOTE="BrunoBRS"]nah, the DS is the new game boy.Serraph105

Awe Bruno, you remembered! x3
And I will get it. Even at the cost of a few peoples lives... THE HAT WILL BE MINE.
And I'll be sticking all of my TWEWY pins on it too. |D
I think it's a cutesy way oh saying "Yeah yeah" "Hey Hey" or "Here here" in Japanese. ;P
I think there's a chance. The DS really wasn't supposed to replace the Gameboy, but it ended up doing just that.
Makes me think of a certain "third pillar" that isn't suppose to replace DS and will have its own games....
but asking Ninty to drop the DS brand name is like telling Sony to stop calling there consoles Playstation

it was just a back up plan. if DS hadn't succeeded they could go back to GBA
honestly, i believe Nintendo knew and wanted Ds to be the new handheld all along but their smart, they know how to introduce a new handheld

either way, the DS is the main handheld now. we might never now what nintendo's obscure plans were O_o[QUOTE="BrunoBRS"][QUOTE="Serraph105"] cause you are looking forward to the game?Yoweeh

i knew that i knew the guy, but i just couldnt make the connection :PI always thought calling it a "gameboy" was politically incorrect... you see, I am a girl and I have had every Gameboy that existed. AnaBobyou see, nintendo thought "most gamers are boys. so lets name it "gameboy" because it would be the essential gaming machine for all boys over the world". bad choice :P well i'd never think of the game boy as "game for boy", but rather just a name. sure, if you stop and think, you'd see it has that meaning, but if you dont, it's just the name of a handheld videogame... which happens to be synonym of "portable videogame" for most people (how many times did someone call your DS a gameboy?)
What for, it would be a step back. Unless they plan to make another portable system that plays all 3 generation of GameBoy games. I kinda doubt thatthey make anything new gaming wise, when they could be working on the DS/i with far more superior graphics & sounds. Let's face it, the DS has hit thepinnacle of portable gaming for Nintendo, & thatthe GameBoy is going the way of the VirtualBoy & other older systems but only more popular &/or memorable.
