I certainly hope so, I'd say Fall 2011 launch is probable, but Spring 2012 is more likely
Nintendo is gonna wanna get out first nex gen, and if they can deliver a console that is a step up for devs that is cheap to dev for too that'd be great
I'm hoping something at least with Quad-Core CPU, GPU at least twice of the HD Twins, and 1-2GBs RAM. By 2012 that should all reasonably fit into a $200-$300 package
ill take the following specs
32 bit proccessor
dvd 9 /bluray capable bc w n64 gc wii
graphics on par with 360/ps3 or slightly better
online free just like now ,,
less freind codes -make a 4 digit number instead of a long one
all dls from wii 1 transferable thus continuing vc ,,and wii ware etc
for a slim price of 200-249,99
Wikipedia knows about as much as you do. Which is NOTHING. There is a reason why teachers don't allow Wikipedia as a source for research papers.wekapedia says that the next nintendo system will be out by 2012..

[QUOTE="kingdavid562"]Wikipedia knows about as much as you do. Which is NOTHING. There is a reason why teachers don't allow Wikipedia as a source for research papers. because it's been proved that it's as reliable as the britannica? just because they have access to the same info as us doesn't mean they aren't reliable on anything. of course that using it to confirm speculations is stupid, but don't try to make it sound like a 10 year old wrote the things wikipedia was made for.wekapedia says that the next nintendo system will be out by 2012..

You betcha

you're all over the place lately!
I honestly don't see Nintendo releasing a console anytime soon. With a nice 2009 holiday, and all the things coming out in 2010.. they're only going to make more people want to buy a Wii.
Sales would have to drop drastically in order for them to even think about releasing a new one. If it does happen, I would lay money on it dropping holiday 2012 or 2013.

That all sounds about right except the freinds codes, they need to get rid of them and have a universal online system where you have a single account name that works on every online game and a universal freinds list.
That and I see it coming out in late 2011, around the holiday season.

Whenever it comes, I think it will struggle. I hate to see any system struggle, but I think it will be very difficult for Nintendo to get anywhere near as much success nextgen as they have this with the Wii. Obviously, there are enough core gamers who will buy it but then, judging by the attitude you see in SW, there are plenty of gamers who stubbornly and ignorantly will never touch another Nintendo product after this gen, and then there are the casual(for want of a better word) gamers, who have bought a Wii as their first games system, and will either not be aware, or not see any point in the next Nintendo system, as they are quite happy on their Wii Fit.
Obviously it all depends on what the next console is, whether it will give a new reason for the non-gamers to buy it, whether they will appeal to the people who see themselves as HARDCORE etc, etc. but only time will tell.
i am guessing 2012 or 2013 i wouldn't be surprised nintendo will probably time it with the end of the world just so no one can enjoy itelbert_b_23
Even though I enjoy the Wii, and being a massive Nintendo fan like I am. I have say thaaaaaaaaaaaat honestly? I WISH IT WERE TOMORROW!
lol the ranting of fanboys in SW is no way reflective of reality which, is anything outside of system wars. I've seen Disney movies that are more reflective of reality than the dribble that is systems wars. Anyway when your the market leader, the ball is in your court, its your game to lose. That's what Nintendo did back in the late 90's, that what Sony did back in 2006. As long as they don't stick their own foot in their mouth again, the market will not make a dramatic change like that.Whenever it comes, I think it will struggle.
