Will the Nintendo 3ds be okay?

With the Iphone 5 and PS Vita will the Nintendo 3DS last as long as the DS and DSidid? I got the 3DS because I liked the upcoming games and the best games havent even come out yet. But now I am wondering if I should have just waited for the Wii U. I hope I didnt buy a game system will eventually stop making games within a year.

What?! Of course it will be okay. It definitely will NOT stop having games made for it within a year, lol. Vita will be a completely different experience, and all gamers know that the iPhone is just a system for short gaming periods.

Really, have some faith! :) With all the triple-A titles coming out next year, I seriously doubt the 3DS is going to go under within the near future (5-6 years at least)!

All I need to say is: Monster Hunter 4. That game is going to keep the 3DS alive and kicking no matter what; it was practically life support for the PSP for the past two years! Not to mention the unannounced titles in franchises which have confirmed developments for the 3DS:

The 3DS is a young sapling, give it time to grow and I assure you, it's going to be one mighty fine console.

Nintendo seems destined to support it and make it a success. Just look at all the game announcements at TGS and we'll probably see a Nintendo NA conference too or something.Haziqonfire

I agree. I got a little worried when everyone started tripping out about the supposed "failure" of the 3DS but, I know it'll do fine. Once the games start pouring in it's all good.

Discontinuing a console too soon is the worst decision a console company can do so yeah, it won't be discontinued (unless Nintendo go out of their minds).

I'm scared that they are going to have a relaunch.

Once the 3DS has more competition, we'll know for sure.
