Will the rate of good 3DS games coming out increase? I mean more than just the good game that comes out every 3 months. There are good ones coming out, but they seem to be coming once in a while.

I could be wrong, maybe this is the case usually for games...

Dude, we had a great 2012 so far. Resident Evil revelations, Kid Icarus Uprising, Heroes of ruin, kingdom hearts, and I know I'm leaving out a few. But we also have Luigi's Mansion the dark moon, new super mario bros 2, paper mario, and more. I'm satisfied and I knwo there isn't a constant flow, the games come in bursts. but it's not 3 months..

I was just estimating. But yeah, the problem is, i find it difficult to find games that i like. In the past, there were some DS i liked, but many i didn't finish. Mario Kart 7 and LOZ OoT didn't really appeal to me so i didn't finish them, Tales of the Abyss is collecting dust, and i don't think I'll like the Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil Revelations game, or Ghost Recon games. Another factor is that i want games that are long, so I'm taking that into account when buying a game.

Well you liking the games is tougher to produce than one game that get generally good reviews. It's just a case by case basis on what games somepne likes. I'm more satisfied than you it seems, but trust that the 3ds will soon be one of your favorite platforms.

The 3DS already has quite a few outstanding games and there are many great games scheduled in the near future. You can't compare the library to that of the DS because it amassed all those games over many years. For having only been out for a little over a year, the library is very solid. I'm sure with the improving sales the system will continue to see an increase in 3rd party support.

I'd like to personally see more RPG's on the system. The DS had so many great RPG's and the 3DS is sorely lacking in that department. But there seems to be a couple of good ones on the horizon with Bravely Default and Fantasy Life.

I doubt it. At least not any time soon for us rpg fans. I know they got Kingdom Hearts, Heroes of Ruin and Paper Mario coming out, but I'm not really into those kinds of rpgs. I'm looking for something along the lines of Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest. Something turn based and kinda old schoolish.

I'm sure we'll get the Final Fantasies and Dragon Quests in time. They had many releases from each franchise on the DS with both the main games and spin-offs. I know a Persona title was announced for the 3DS but I haven't heard much about it.

Doubt it. The DS ended up with a lot of great games but they never came out all that fast. And I'm okay with that, owning every platform means there's not a ton of time to dedicate to any one of them, so slow fronts on the 3DS and Vita sides means I don't accumulate much (if any) backlog for either system.

Those are my only scores this year outside of Luigi's Mansion. I may also buy NSMB but I'm waiting on reviews to see if it's more NSMB or NSMBWii. If it's the former, no thanks.

Yes.

2012 H1 outside Japan was very underwhelming. I suspect Nintendo planned this, they wanted to wait with a software storm until 3DS becomes profitable this fall.

Nintendo's phase 2 starts with the launch of 3DS XL and NSMB 2. Besides the retail games slated for release in the upcoming months, I expect a pretty big eShop push too.

The 3DS will be just fine. The DS didnt come out with all those games in one year, it took many years for the titles to accumulate. Now with the 3DS system selling very well the 3rd parties are getting off the Vita hype and jumping over to the 3DS. I expect a ton of games to come out next year from this. As far as RPGs go, they take the most development time of any games. Im sure we will get a ton of RPGs, just like the DS did, but it will take atleast a year or two from now. Patience...

My patience is running a bit thin. Even on consoles there haven't been many really good rpg's this gen. Everythings been a sequel/prequel or a Skyrim or God of War ripoff. Would be kinda nice to see something original.

There are plenty of great RPG's on the DS you can play on your 3DS, and quite a few are original.

Sorry, I should have said "NEW" and original.
