I know if you set your Wii to 16:9, it will look better (it did on Skyward Sword by a lot)....But if I were to set the Wii to 16:9 and use component cables on a Samsung 40'' HDTV, will it make a bigger difference in quality than regular cables?

[QUOTE="ristactionjakso"]Probably, but usually Amazon has better prices. But yeah you can also read the reviews/comments under the Amazon item to see what other people think too.Ok cool. I don't like buying anything online. Can't I buy them in stores?

Ideal setup imo: 480p res (component cables), low sharpness setting, TV andWii aspect ratio set to 16:9 widescreen.
The biggest factor however, for me, was that I switched from 40" to 32", it makes the jaggies less noticeable. The image became much sharper, some games even feel like they are HD like Prime 3 and Galaxy with my current setup (sony bravia 3? lcd), my Wii games look amazing.
You should always use the best cables that are available to you for any device you ever hook up to your TV. It's just common sense.

Ya moving tosmaller screen will mask the jaggies a little more, giving the appearance of a sharper picture. Im currently playing Zelda:SS on a 50" and it looks pretty bad, much worse than my 42". This is with component cables and running @ 480p.
As for the initial question, most definitely the cables make a huge difference. It may not be a noticable in some games, but improves the resolution of the consoles picture drastically.
