since twilight princess was a launch title and a gamecube port, is nintendo going to be making a wii specific zelda? Has anyone heard/read anything about it?
Yes, considering we havn't gotten one yet.  TP was done and sat on a shelf way before wii came out, IT WAS MEANT FOR GAMECUBE. Twilight Princess was a gamecube port, pure and simple. An extremely obvious one at that. They could be well into the official Wii Zelda, atleast they had the chance to be by this point. They milked TP for all it was worth.

This. I mean TP was finished like 3 years ago. They've had 3 years to work on a new one for Wii so far, I think theres a remote chance that it could be released next year. I mean that's almost 4 years.
Yeah, in the second page on Nintendo power's pulse, chris states that a new zelda title is officially in the works, so im just waiting for the official announcement.
There were 3 original Zelda games for the GameCube (4 if you include Ocarina of Time: Master Quest). To think there wouldn't be one for the Wii is silly.
Miyamoto has said that the Zelda team is hard at work, so i suppose that means we will get a zelda. After all, every Nintendo system to date has had it's own zelda, so i see absolutly no reason not to have one on the system that seams perfectly fit for it.
yes i think there will be another game out but i think link should have some flame, ice and light arrows like in wind waker and there should be a sky temple where you have to get there by hangliding or flying through a enourmous mountain pass. i do not recomend putting vaati in but there should be a sword he pulls that will transform him and give powers(shapeshifting etc.) like four swords. also i was thinking link could have various sky mounts like dragons, hangliders
and more . maybe his sword could be used to charm lowly monsters(plz dont stone me im just pitching ideas)thats all i have so stay tuned zelda fans and dont smoke8)

There will be another Zelda game................I hope.
Oh I garuntee you there will be. Remember TP was delayed for I think 2 years, a big part of that was just to get the motion sensing for the ported GC version over. Wii still has another 3 years to go (predictably) til the "Wii 2" and we don't have a Zelda Wii exclusive yet. N64: OoT and Majora's Mask GC: Windwaker, Four Swords Adventures, TP, Zelda: Collector's Edition, and the OoT Master Quest. GBA: Minish Cap and Four Swords NES: Zelda and Zelda 2 GBC: Oracle of AGes, Oracle of Seasons, and Link's Awakening. TP was released on lauch date and based on those systems above and with 3 years left for Wii, I am positive that we'll get a Zelda Wii.
guys, for the millionth time... there hasn't been a wii zelda. If you want keep saying TP was a wii game, then you might as well say the wii has gotten 4 new zeldas cause then you have to include the ones we got on virtual console. TP was a last gen game (and a great one at that)
i wonder why threads like this one appear every week... either talking about TP being a launch title and hopes for a new one or about a sequel for super mario galaxy (i could swear gamespot had a system to prevent topics with the same title on the same board, can people be this creative?)
Yes there will be. As soon as it is officially announced, the hardcore will forgive Nintendo of every cheap port (Animal Crossing, I'm looking right at you) that has been published, and the fanboys will all come out, and this forum will erupt with such hysteria and glee that of course it will happen.

Yeah, but not without a few criticisms before hand such as what kind of style of graphics are, whether Ganon is in or not, and just tons of complaints throughout the making of it. then when we do get we'll get a ton of "I'm disappointed with Zelda Wii" and "Zelda Wii is so terrible." 6 months later if not then less, forums topics will start up all over again with: "Where's the new Zelda?"
Miyamoto said at E3 that the Mario and Zelda teams were hard at work on their next titles. And in the most recent issue of Nintendo Power, in the OoT 10th Anniversary article, a new Zelda game is briefly mentioned which is still "top secret".
Probably getting another Zelda for the Wii. I'd expect the first fragments of news to emerge next year, probably at E3.
