Will there ever be a Mario Party 9?

I think MP8 was really bad, only one good map. I'm hoping there will be another installment for the Wii but who knows

Just in terms of franchises they have ignored recently, I would say a new MP is pretty low priority unless they have something special to show with that series.

Since Hudson hit financial woes, it is doubtful a new MP will ever come to light.

I'm surprised they don't have a Motion+ Mario Party.

I've only played 1-3 and 8. Never played 4-7 but 8 was just really bad, The maps are just really terrible and i would hope to see if they make MP9 or at least put the classics on the Virtual Console(VC)

Is there really going to be MP 1&2 on the VC? I've heard about it but they're just rumours, anyone know if it is official?

It would be cool to have a new one. I have only played MP8 and I thought it was a great pick up and play party game.

Just wait for Mario Party 1 and 2 and stock up on Classic Controllers.

I wouldn't mind a good Wii Mario Party game, which is played with motion / IR ofc. It's silly otherwise because it's a party experience, not competetive play where you'd prefer a classic controler. Non-precise controls make the game more random = more fun. I don't want to win, I want to have fun with my friends.

Mario Party needs somewhat of a revamp. As there are so many games on Wii, Nintendo made or third party developed, that use the mini game setup that MP basically set the building blocks for.

You have Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Deca Sports and its sequels, Mario and Sonic, Wii Fit Plus, and so on.

Mario Party needs to find a focus and more compelling mini games.
