As for MMORPG's...can the Wii even handle something like that?

The Wii can handle MMORPGs because Nintendo has a deal with Nexon so they will make MMOs for the Wii and DS so far they only made one for the DS which is Maple Story DS.

I'm pretty sure they took the online out of Maple Story DS. But I think it's still online for the Wii version but info is scarce and it's pretty much just rumours and speculations. Not a whole lot of info on it.

Oh so Maple Story DS isn't their first MMO they are making for Nintendo? But they are going to make MMOs for Nintendo since they have a contract.
Well its not impossible for a mmo to come out on wii. Phantasy star online was on the gamecube. If one does come out I don't think it will come from Nintendo, because they do not seem interested in making one.
Capcom's Monster Hunter 3 last time I checked was coming to the wii.

Doesn't mean its necessarily online, but many of the others were so theres a good chance.
It would be great, but the whole friend code system makes me feel as if it'll never happen. If SSBB will only have 2-minute matches when playing against strangers, I really think Nintendo has full wifi online play lodged in the farthers part of their collective brain. Too bad too. I really wanted Animal Crossing to take strides in the MMO direction.
