Seriously, are they ever gonna do this?
On a related note, I just realized there was second GCN Star Fox. Star Fox: Assault. Is this game any good? Should I try to scrounge up a copy?

IMO assualt was my fav game in the series!!!
It really is worth the try. If you don't like it...oh well.
Probably. Miyamoto and another Star Fox team member both commented that they were very interested in making one.
Also, Assault is pretty good, not as good as 64, though. Arwing battles are great, except Krystal is a terrible pilot, but the on-foot missions aren't the best.
We have to be patience. I don't know who said it or exactly how they did, but I remember one person say that Nintendo doesn't make games like Star Fox (among others) just because there's a demand for one - they have to come up with some good ideas for the game before they start making it.

Assault is nowhere near as good as Adventure or Star Fox 64.I wish, it was my favorite games on the snes and N64. I have had all the subsequent Starfox releases and somehow they have all let me down in one way or another. StarFox Adventures anyone ? They keep wanting to add all these on foot missions and themes but all I want is regular Starfox in the Arwing, on rails, shooting stuff while people are talking.
I'm dying for a new Star Fox for the Wii too! I think it will eventually come, as has been said already, Iwata has expressed his interest in doing it. I loved Star Fox 64, hated Adventure and Command on the DS wasn't too bad. I've never played Assault though, need to pick it up soon.
Please Ninty, do this. No more Link and Samus for a while. Bring back Fox, Falcon, and Kirby.nintendoboy16
amen bro
Unless they are going to make a starfox like the N64 one, then i really am not to worried about seeing one. The GC one is ok, but if you really looking for a Star Fox, get the 64 one off the VC.da_chubyup, the starfox64 on VC should give you a good fix - still hoping for a wii version sometime though

You, sir, are a genius.
Nintendo has said they're interested in making a StarFox game for the Wii, but that's it.
As for Assault, get it, it's a HUGE improvement over what Adventures was. On the side note, the multiplayer in Assault is superior to SF64's multiplayer (but SF64's single player is superior to Star Fox Assault).
Please Ninty, do this. No more Link and Samus for a while. Bring back Fox, Falcon, and Kirby.nintendoboy16those three need a Wii game. Kirby has 3 games on the DS already!
They should definately make one for Wii, as long as they don't get another developer to do it for them.
I demand an explanation.ughhhhhhhh........no more Star Fox!!!!!! The only time I want to see Fox, is in Smash Bros.

I think there will be a Star Fox game on the Wii. I am really looking forward to it. I hope Nintendo really does well on it. I think that an F-Zero game on the Wii would be a lot of fun, and I am pretty sure a Kirby for the Wii is in the making. When you think about it the Wii really hasn't had a game for most of their big franchises.

I'd also like to see a Kid Icarus game. I didn't know they were making a Kirby. I haven't played Kirby since Kirby's DreamLand 2 on the Gameboy. An F-Zero that used the Wii Wheel would be awesome as well IMO, with online and all that jazz.

people only think Nintendo is working on a title, there's never been confirmation on the matter.
I agree though, I think the Kid needs a comeback.
It would be really cool if Nintendo would do a graphical art style similar to that of the original Starfox, but using the horsepower of the Wii. Arkk_Angel
I would LOVE to see that.
That was said before on a new Zelda not coming to Wii, but look what pops up. So, I think there will be a Star Fox.No, no there won't. Now, please stop thinking about it

I fail to see your logic. If you are saying that Fox is in too many games, then you are mistaken (if you want to see overrused series, check this one: The Legend of Zelda).

I was just about to say that Star Fox isn't the milked series here. It's Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and Metroid. (Although two of those, you have to give an exception)[QUOTE="wiidskirby"][QUOTE="spartan211"]

While they are overused, they are always good. That aside, I get a bit tired of the same thing over and over again, and I still haven't seen a real sequel to Star Fox 64.

I'm in agreement here. They'll probably focus on them after SMG2 and Other M are out.
Speaking of kirby, i notice they only make one game on each home console for him. One on the 64, one on the GC, but we allready have 3 DS and 2 GBA. Personally i think they will keep this pattern. Then they may make a small kirby game for the DSi Shop that has online. C. Falcon would be nice, considering he hasnt shown to much just life fox. I hope they do make a new SF and Hopefully it'll have either A. A stroy line LONGER then 10 missions to keep us entertained, B. Great, multiplayer online play or C. Both of the above

This guy loves his Star Fox, I see him posting in every thread to bring back Star Fox, which isn't a bad thing. I don't agree with you on Zelda and Metroid, those games help carry the system.
I want to see the 3 you mentioned plus games we haven't seen sequels for in years like Wave Race and Pilotwings. Especially after the Wii Sports intro and no Pilotwings WTF?
It wouldn't surprise me if Retro Studios was working on it! Retro is working on something. Hopefully it is some IP that Nintendo has forgoten about.

^This, Ninty has said several times that Retro is working on a project, and with as great a job they did of reviving Metroid, I think it's safe to assume Nintendo would give them the reins to another big IP.

I agree. There hasn't even been a fully developed exclusive Zelda on the Wii yet, so Nintendo shouldn't just scrap Zelda for Star Fox. Zelda is their best series IMO.
