Supernova and ddrMAX were REALLY GOOD, and the songs were hard, the latest ones, kinda stupid. HP1,2, and 3 aren't that great IF you played the good ddr's. It used to be all techno and crazy, but how'd it change to dancing to coldplay? Does anyone think the old ddr will come back to the newer consoles? People are also starting to take down DDR machines at arcades, so I have no access to my favorite ddr's with actual crazy beats. Take Xepher for example, this was a DDR song(is) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-9srhwHln4

Take that as a sign that nobody wants to dance to those songs.

They choose the songs that will sell, not what's "hard". They're a business, after all.

I've never played Supernova or Max, I have DDR HP for the Wii though but I don't really like it.

I also have DDR Disney Grooves. It's pretty cool, I like that you can use your Mii and there's even costumes of the characters that you can unlock to dress your Mii in.

My favorite is DDR Mario Mix for the Gamecube though.

Try out Supernova or Max, trust me, there a lot funner. Plus there is a reason why the old version of the ps2 had an extra difficulty (challenge) for more advanced players, some songs are easier than the ones from hp. The only good song in HP was super samurai. TokyoEvolved was just TO hard to unlock, double A"ing every single song is quite hard considering you cant miss a single step

What are some of the songs that are on Supernova or Max? One of the main reasons why I don't really like DDR HP is because there aren't that many good songs on it.

As a Pump it up player I don't like Dance Dance Revolution. I would love to see one of the latest version come to the wii. Since Pump it up Exceed came out to PS2 and Xbox it could be possible. Maybe it didn't sell well or Andamiro is afraid of the game not selling well or they just don't have the possibility of releasing a Pump it up game. Maybe I should gather some people and send some emails.

I like DDR Hottest Party 3.

It has official songs instead of cover tracks, and even has updated mixes of classics like "Keep On Movin", "Dynamite Rave", and "Celebrate Nite" (although I kinda hate the updated version of "Brilliant2U" because the vocalist doesn't help and the choreography is strange for guy dancers). It may not have "MAX300", but "Kimono Princess" and "Pluto the First" are difficult enough.

Just get Stepmania or an ITG clone. You can download and put whatever songs you want on it.

DDR in America has changed too much, and they keep adding these weird pop songs that aren't good to dance to.

Plus the Wii versions are always really weird with the Wii controls, and the hardest song....isn't even a challenge...

I'm surprised people still play DDR :? Over here, people have moved on to Pump It Up, a Korean version of DDR that's got a different dance pad. Instead of "Up, Down, Left, Right" you have "Top Left, Top Right, Lower Left, Lower Right, Middle". It's crazy at first but you get used to it after a while.
