Will they make a new remake of Final Fantasy V or VI?

I was wondering if they'll make another enhanced remake of FF V or VI like they did with III and IV 

I really wanna play Final Fantasy VI since I only played the beggining of it in the PS1 version and really liked it but never had the chance to complete it. The DS versions of FF III and IV look great, but FF 3 doesnt look like such a good RPG compared to V or VI and I've already played IV. The GBA version would be great, but i cant find it anywhere.

i would die if ff8 was announced. the greatest rpg of all time. i was in my tween years when i was playing that game, but it stuck like glue in my gaming soul. i want so bad.

I'd give my life to see a remake of FF7 in the DS, but its really unlike that something like that happens with FF7 or 8. For the moment ill be happy to see a remake of 6 with the same quality of the FF4 DS

I think there's a very good chance we'll see remakes of both FF5 and 6 at some point. Both titles were licensed by Nintendo in the past and could easily be brought back into the mix of things if SE decrees it.

But FF7 and on? As much as it pains me to say it, that's just wishful thinking.  FF7 and all the chapters beyond are all licensed under Sony.

sadly you are right, if they ever make a remake of FF7 or 8 it will be for the PSP

What is wrong with you people? Yeah they should remake 5 and 6 for ds, and they probably will. But as for 7-9? Why would you want that remade on the ds or psp? They should be remade, but only for the PS3 with amazing graphics. Duh, why would you settle for a handheld sephiroth when you could have a AC caliber sephiroth on the PS3?cloud_strifeXxX

SE isnt trying to remake any FF games for ps3. they are trying to go forward on the console front, and making older ff games more accessible w/ the ds and psp. both systems are considerably strong enough to port these games, but they add subtle features to make it appealing to those who've play through the first.

how many remakes of ff have you seen on the ps2, or ps1.....how many have you seen on the ds or psp?? booyah

id prefer it on my handheld anyway. im sure they would convult the story just because the platform its on has more power. classic games like ff7 and 8 can easily be destroyed by adding to much. plus its cheaper to put it on ds or psp

That is if the DSi will not change the fate of DS future... ;)
