I really hope so good games would be the three Zelda games, the three Warioland games, and the Pokemon series... that would give people who didnt buy the any of the Gameboy games a chance to play them and a chance for DS owners to play them also... i bet we wont see GBA games for awhile if GBC games did make it... i bet Nintendo would upload the GBC version of super mario bros just to see if more idiots will buy it again

I was thinking it would be awesome if they had a vc channel for he DS!  They make a memory card that plugs into the DS slot and can save the games on there, encrypted of course.  But then you load them and play away.  Would work for all portable game systems in the past and present.

I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that Nintendo does release gameboy games on the VC. Link's Awakening anyone? IGN gave it perfect 10 out of 10

But there are so many good Gameboy/Color/Advance games that would be great on the virtual console. Then again it comes down to whether or not they want to make them for the virtual console.

I do hope so. Infact I expect to see Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance Games available on the VC. I honestly don't see why not. Nintendo needs to make it happen, nothing would make me more happier than to be able to download gameboy advance games, like Metroid Fusion and Castlevania, which are gameboy games that are now difficult to find. If they make it happen Nintendo Wii will be the greatest console ever.

Man I would love to see Metroid II, Pokemon series, Zelda games, Wario and Mario Platformers and such, I hope the big GB/GBC games make it eventually.

I can see them waiting to do this w/ the next Handheld. It would make sense if they did being that they are handheld games.

I would expect them to put gameboy and gameboy colour games up, but im not sure about advance, you can still buy those games and play them with a DS which im sure nintendo would rather you bought to play them. thats just how it looks to me.

I can see them releasing GB and GBC games, not GBA, as they are still selling, and you can play them on the DS.

Handheld games simply wouldn't be a good idea for a home console... but a VC for the DS or the next Nintendo handheld?  That is going to happen!

I disagree. I like playing my games on the big screen much more than I would rather play them on a handheld. I played gameboy gams on super gameboy and I play GBA games on Gameboy Player. It's just more fun on the big screen

It simply WOULD BE a good idea for a home console.  Look, there is a population of gamers who have no need or desire for any handheld game systems.  They are great for people on the go all the time and can't get to their consoles as much as they would like.  Others have constant access to their consoles (i.e. me...I work from home).  Yet there are so many quality handheld titles that they would like to play and not have to squint at a tiny screen...

Well..considering I got my GameBoys at launch (thats 1989 kiddies) I would say that I have pretty much destroyed them.  I think I killed half the pixel lines and everything but the inside is a nice yellow.  Yet if you asked me what game I would bring to a deserted island, I would still say the original Kirby's Dream Land.  I don't care that I can beat that game in under an hour, it truly was one of the best platformers to ever hit the market  and I would gladly pay to get it on a Super Game Boy Wii emulator.

This is also the only kirby to not have copy abilities, something i wish Nintendo didn't basically necessitate on some boss battles.  I dunno if anyone can imagine beating Kracko or King Dedede without a projectile, but it can be done, and it truly is something to brag about.
