I seen this video awhile back and it looks so cool I think if developers did use this for games that it would bring back some of the hardcore players. I can imagine playing metroid prime 3 with this it would be so cool as a matter of fact any fps would be cool with these. I also remember some time ago the ps2 eyetoy had a similar tech demo it was in one of the demo disc they sent me.

It would fail so greatly that it would kill the system. No one moves their head when it comes to a TV. Maybe on a theater sized set but when it comes to most TV's you move your eyes. The idea of moving your head is useless and I'm glad Nintendo hasn't put money into it. Though I'm a little irked where they have been putting their money as of late.

The way he was demonstrating kinda reminded me of that Police 911 arcade game, where the game knows where you are(meaning that to control the game, you have to move your body and stuff)

You were all over the Balance Board, but you think this would be a bad idea?

If you consider just sitting on the couch about 8 feet away from your TV and looking around to play the game, then sure.. it would suck.

But get off your ass just like with the balance board and stand in front of your TV. Then you can move left and right and even crouch down and the view will respond accordingly. I think it would be awesome for on rail shooters.

I created a thread on the IGN forums dedicated to suggestions for The Conduit and this was one of the things I added. http://boards.ign.com/nintendo_wii_lobby/b8270/171877489/p1/?38 (think it's on page 2) I really think it would be a great addition to a game like The Conduit, even if it was just a bonus feature that only the most hardcore gamers would really bother with.

I'm not going to damage my eyes by getting any closer to my TV than I already am.
