I'm going to go with the Nintendo approach.

No plans at this time.

Now with the sales person approach.

I can sell you a 32gb SD for only $99.99*
*but it won't work on your Wii.

So yeah, some think yes. But no word from the big N yet.

No I do not want a Hard Drive on the Wii. Unless it's a seperate part. I like Flash Memory better because it doesn't have a high failure rate like Hard Drives do.

there is more chance of the following.

1) a firmware update for sdhc cards to work in the sd slot.

2) being able to run wiiware and vc games from sd cards

3) hell freezing over

if it does happen, i would be happy but i doubt it would be more than 20gb

Maybe when Nintendo stops being stubborn and admits their mistake. Until then, no we won't get one.

The disc drive that is sitting in your Wii right now has a higher failure rate than any hard drive.

That's strange, never heard that before.

Are you sure?

I think it'll happen eventually, but voice chat is the more complained about feature. SD cards and being able to run games from them are more likely too. I personally want USB compatability though.
