question 1: Will you still buy nintendo dsi?
question 2: If you will buy a ds for the first time, are you going to buy a ds lite or a dsi?
i have a triforce gold DS lite
and i will buy the DSi day one because a good 3MP camera, web, i will use my $30 16GB SDHC card and use it for music on the go, i will be playing mario and luigi 3 on it by then, i can sell my triforce DS for upwards of $300 online, used.
also, the DSi shop games seem like they will be cool, hopefully some will use the DSi's superior 133Mhz CPU, and 16MB RAM.
if i want to play GBA games i understand that the DSi still has the GBA's 33Mhz CPU inside of it, so one way or the other be it a VC type thing or not i will be able to play GBA probably, and also i'm more than ready to give up the ghost, and set aside my love for GBA games, its been 8 years, i shouldn't hold nintendo back. perhaps the regular DS could've had the 133Mhz CPU and 16MB ram had people not complained that the next handheld should play GBA games, coz adding stuff like that to a device this small only makes it harder to pack things into it. the GBA cpu takes up space and production costs that could be better used improving the actual hardware, etc.
people, stop holding Nintendo back, they gave you a good 5 years with the GBA, they don't owe it to you to keep allowing you to play the same GBA games over and over, they're trying to give you something new. if you play GBA games on DS most, then why did you even get a DS?
also, to the community of people who are seeking solutions for something the DSi changes, that ran rampid on the regular DS, you're stealing and you don't have a say in this. its like me stealing 100% cotton shirts from wal mart, then complaining after they start selling only non-100% cotton shirts because i don't want my stolen shirts to shrink.
well, you get the point. i support the gaming industry by BUYING video games
I do not have eiIther right now, but my mom has dropped a hint that I might be getting one for x-mas.
I do not want a DSi, would much prefer to play my GBA games than have a terrible camera (I do not know why people keep calling it good. It might be compaired to a PHONE CAMERA but that does not make it good), has poor music playing ability (honestly if I want to listen to music I would have bought a ipod long ago).
I will buy a DSi, i have a DS lite and i don't really play GBA games anyway... i think a lot of people will buy it depending on lifestyle more than anything else. I may not need a DSi but its got features i don't use on my phone, not to mention it is still slightly upgraded from the DSlite. The thing that appeals to me most though, is the matte finish... A lot of people will probably wonder why, but i just really hate smudges...
No.
   Cons:
Larger screens, same resolution- Games look worse
Maximum brightness reduces battery life to 3 hours
Overall battery life has been shortened
GBA support has been dropped along with support for all peripherals
Camera resolution is too lo to even use with the Wii's Photo Channel
   Camera lens  is unprotected
DSi is longer and wider than the Lite
Music player only plays AAC format
Web Browser has Flash, but cannot use it to view videos
   DSi still only supports WEP
Graphical capabilities are the same, but look worse do to the larger screen showing of the pixelation
   DSi still lacks power
The all matte design doesn't look very good
   The list goes on...
Â
   Pros:
       The UI is better
The Download store is a nice feature
The visualizers of the AAC player are pretty good
The matte design provides more grip
It's just as fun as the normal DS'
The audio and photo editing capabilities are niceÂ

The cons by far outweigh the pros so I believe it is not worth a purchase UNLESS you are not paying for it and you get to keep your DS Lite/fat. And finally the DSi won't be released for a long time... So there's nothing to worry about.
No, I just got a DS Lite not too long ago and I'm not willing to pay more for a .3 megapixel camera, bad web browsing, and an MP3. The only thing I'll be missing out on the DSi is the downloaded games. I'll just wait for a DS2. . .Cooleo1010True, the way I see it, The DS Lite comes with a GBA slot, which adds another what, 700+ possible titles for the system? Once that's taken out, alot of the SNES classics won't be portable anymore. I feel like we are getting ripped off with the DSi mroe than we are benefitting.
for the people that say the DSi has a .3 megapixel camera while thats true...the DSi also has a 3 megapixel camera ^_^...
the .3 megapixel camera is on the inside with the 3 megapixel camera on the outside :P...

o and im not getting the DSi until it goes down in price xP
What will be the price of the new DS and will gamestop do that trade in deal that they did with the light
Probably, my old ds lite's d-pad is starting to wear out. I heard in a dsi preview, that the buttons are clicky, like the old ds which is great, i hate the mushy feel of the ds lite's buttons.
I dont care about the lack of gba slot, i have a gba, sp, gba micro, ds, and ds lite if i want to play gba games. I dont know why ppl are complaining about the lack of gba slot, the only game that uses is pokemon, but that is why i'm keeping my ds and my ds lite. People who care about guitar hero should just buy a console version, it's better in every way, and you dont have to look like your crazy in public. I have a feeling that gba games are going to be up for download on the nintendo store, a few months after the release. I'll just purchase the few gba games i would actaully want to play (pkmn r/s/e, pkmn fr/lg, gunstar heros, and fire emblem)
I couldn't care less about the camera. i'll use it once, then go back to my 10 mp camera.
