But in response to the question - both games had technically good graphics - I wouldn't care which style they choose so long as they have good shadows, refractive and reflective glass/water, diffuses on surfaces, nice bloom and hdr, etc etc.
Twilight for sure it beat Wind Waker in everyway, the graphics in WW were what put me off playing it guess I'm not all that keen on cell shaded which is weird cos' Killer 7 & XIII were good.
I would hope for the more realistic graphics of TP. WW graphics were neat for a little something different...but I think the industry has started to move past the cell shaded craze, thankfully.
I would love another zelda with the graphical style of Wind Waker. For me, it just seemed to fit the mood of the Zelda universe really well. The dark turn that Twilight Princess took was definitely a step in the wrong direction in my opinion.
If there hadn't been so much annoying sailing, I would probably have enjoyed Wind Waker more than TP, honestly.
TP. I didn't like the WW graphics at all. Cell shading comes off as cartoony and lazy. Sure some 'artists' might like the change and exploration in style, but I wish cell shading would just plain go away.
There has never been a Zelda world better realized then WindWaker. It is the pinnacle of what that universe is supposed to be. There has never been another Zelda game that comes close to matching what WindWaker was able to do.
But you always have people with.....issues about it. They're put off by it saying it's not "real" then again they call a pretend character in a world of make believe"real" so I mean you can take from that what you wish.
I would not be angry if it's in cel-shading. Just don't bring a huge ocean like in Wind Waker. Just have an open-world like OOT and it will be ok for me.
improved on twilight princess, there is notmuchthey cando to improve of windwaker... but yeah, i would like them to keep the thing very fairy talish tho, it kinda lost that on twilight princess's story
Although I would love realistic graphics again, Zelda's Japanese fanbase has all but diminished, so I think they will do something to please those across the Pacific, thus having cell-shaded graphics and (obviously) a new control scheme.
