I'm really tempted :S

The thing is, a DS costs £100 sterling over here in the UK :(

I really liked Red and Silver, but I haven't played any games since. Would it be worth me getting a DS?

BTW:  i had to misspell Pokémon in the topic title, but GameSpot won't allow me to use é cos it's a non-ascii character :(

lol..i dont think anyones going to flame you for missing the accent. there are worst mistakes.

you should consider how much you like pokemon. have you played the other games? are you a fan? is this a game you think you can play with others? will you play it for a while and then dump it? does it have good replay value?are you interested in other ds games too since your buying a 100 pound ds? just reasearch it too.

Only you can define what your killer app is. No one else can do it for you. For me, mine was Fianl Fantasy III

Well, it isn't worth it just to get pokemon, despite the fact that it is an awesome game. I just can't justify spending so much money on one game, no matter how good it is. However, if you spend the money, you won't be dissappointed by pokemon, it is just great. And knowing the fact that there will be so many people buying it, the online experience won't be bad either. However, I do support getting a DS. I don't think it is worth it to just get the DS for pokemon, however, I do suggest buying it, because you'll get hooked into the DS, and of course, you'll get more games, then it'll be worth every penny. Check out some more games and tools on my site, which is on my signature.

Yeah, you won't be dissappointed by the DS and Pokemon. The DS is great on its own. BTW: ARe you getting the DS Lite or the original. If you want a cheaper one, consider getting an original and maybe a used one that works. Also don't forget if you want to play wifi you'll need to buy the router or usb connector.

That's basically paying £100 for one game, which, imo, is not worth it.

Simply Put, Yes.  If you are even thinking about buying a 100$+ system for pokemon, you know you want it.

I think this game might push me to buying a DS, as well, but of course I'll also get other great DS titles.

Yes. Thats all there is to say. This may well be the best Pokemon game yet. I'm pretty sure it was the top selling DS game in Japan. So get it.
