It was one of my favorite Gamecube games and it, graphically, still looks pretty good, IMO. Considering it would be in 3D, stuff like floating dust particles and ghosts would look awesome. Thoughts?

I'd want a new one, but I'd like a port. It kinda hooked me since it was the second game I played on the GCN.
I'd take anything at the moment. Nothing in the 3DS library stands out to me at all. SFIV will hold me over for about a month or so, but after that I'd like a real game, even if it's a port. I think this is the first launch without one stand out game. The launch lineup is filled with competant games, but nothing special. Luigi's Mansion is sounding good right now.
Ouch! Those are fighting words :D But I know what you mean.SFIV will hold me over for about a month or so, but after that I'd like a real game, .

Not really. I got Luigis mansion when it came out but it wasnt one of the best games.....If namco actually wants to gain back the trust of their customers and localize Tales of the Abyss then I`d gladly accept that.
Wouldn't it be hard to play? If I remember right you use the C-stick to aim, so that would be you'd have to the touch screen, and my experiences with that is massive cramps in my thenar eminence.
I think it'd be cool just because some of the gamers I've heard online liked it. I personally didn't think it was all that, but that doesn't mean others wouldn't like it, so why not?
Yeah, I forgot about that. Like others have said, it would probably be better if they just made another one specially made for the 3DS.Wouldn't it be hard to play? I want a sequel. lol
As much as I loved the first one, it wasnt well recieved. Porting it to the 3DS isnt going to make it any better recieved sadly.
True, although I'd like a port of a fun game. At least the DS had a port of Mario 64 at launch, it wasn't anything new but at least it was really fun and long enough to hold people over until other games come out. At this point in the life cycle ports are the best bet for lengthy games as developers hadn't had enough time to create lengthy original titles. Stop being greedy. To be honest...I am all ported out right now. We have so many games still coming out that are ports, id rather some original titles...

I know but right now we are looking at ports of:
Resident Evil
SSF4
Nintendogs
Rayman
Zelda OOT
Metal Gear Solid
Lego Star Wars
Starfox
I would much rather have a new Luigi game than a port TBH.
