I'd love a Super Mario Bros remake for WiiWare. No new gameplay features, same old levels, same secrets, just the same game with Wii graphics. Good ol 2D plattaforming awesomeness.

What do you think?

I wouldn't really mind a remake of the first smb. But I prefer smb as it is.

Nah, it was a great game on the NES and still is. Leave the old games old.

Only if it was cheap and had some added content, like SMB Deluxe on GBC. Maybe even base the visuals off of Mushroomy Kingdom.

I'd rather they release Super Mario All Stars on vc, because that's pretty much what you're talking about. As for wiiware, I would want a new SM game or SMB4 as someone suggested.

Absolutely. They could just bump up the things they used in NSMB.

I would prefer a NSMB sequel though. They could release it on DS & WiiWare.

At this point, I want to see a full fledged 2.5D Mario adventure, along the lines of Super Mario World or Super Mario Bros. 3. New Super Mario Bros. was all nostalgia and no substance, and the result was a very short game.

Second that. I've played SMB more than my fair share of times, I would hope that they could use developers time more wisely by just making a new game.

And no remakes of Zelda or Metroid for that matter.

The game is fine the way it is. SMB was never about the graphics; it's the gameplay that matters.

lol... seriously? Didn't Nintendo already do something like this on another system? It's people's love for the same old game that makes Nintendo decide, "Hey! They liked this game, lets rerelease it and change some stuff around. They'll buy it again!" I sure as hell wouldn't buy it. The GBC version is a fine version of what you're describing it seems.

If they make SMB on wiiware it has to be totally new...ive played all other "classic" mario games on my SNES, and GBA and downloaded the old SMB too

Nintendo should try to satisfy the hardcore gamers on wiiware too!!

Definitely not a remake. A new 2D mario for WiiWare would be awesome, though.

I'd prefer a new game for once, not a remake.
