Yes. In fact what bugs me is elements of handhelds games that try and emulate console game presentation. Take for instance LOZ:PH and Ouendan 2, OTO2 doesn't feel forced or odd on the DS and has amazing production values, whereas PH, although technically spectacular, it's console style attempt at presentation (unfortuntely I can define the term very well, so either you know what i mean or you don't) only highlights that it is a diluted version of a console game (though not gameplay wise since PH could only have been done on the DS, I am sure there are other games like this out there).
The real question is whether or not I'd be contented with a console, probably not.
I have a DS Lite and a PC.
Sometime ago I stopped playing at all and thought my will to play games was decreasing. But it was before I get a DS. Now I'm a heavy DS player. I only don't know to tell you for shure if it's because handhelding.
I believe it's Handhelding + Nintendo = Fun Fun Fun Fun, on the go, on toilet, etc.
It's all about convenience, comfort, and accesibility. So my recent preference for PC and handhelds hinges on these sole reasons.
They're cheap, comforting, and easy to play whenever I want to.
Or maybe I'm just getting sick of consoles.

PC is cheap?
Yeah, same here. I would prefer my diamond over my battle revolution but I would prefer my Wii over my DS.It would have to be certain games, Like fps, I want a home console but rpgs, I want a handheld.
I like handhelds because I could play it any where, I'm not stuck in a room,

for me, handhelds over consoles by far. the ability to play anywhere, no paying for online, fun, fast games that don't take a real long time to beat, having the option to go into "sleep" mode and continue right where you left off, it's all fantastic.
I grew up on handhelds, so I'd have to say those over consoles any day.
