and that I LOVE.... :P

soon we would be able to play SNES, NES and N64 games with their original controllers (assuming you still have it or can get one :P

I quote from there....

"By accessing the GameCube® port that is built in to the WiiTM system, the 3-in-1 Virtual Retro Adaptor allows gamers to enjoy older, "retro" games using the original controllers for NES®, SNES®, and N64®."

*dreams with playing Super Castlevania IV with the SNES controller again....* :D:D:D

This would be the 1st adapter/peripheral that I get  that or speak wii, do not know which one come 1st (Assuming that wii speak would have some good game to use it with... :P

Hope is news to someone... I did not saw this here...

enjoy....

EDIT: thx.. fixed.. and thx the person below me :)

Sounds pretty cool actually. I had 2 NES controllers lieing around, I adapted one so that it would connect to my PC, but the other can still come in handy for the wii now :)

Thx... :)

and the NES is cool, but I was not as excited... the wii controller on it sides is pretty much teh same, thus it can be a bit uncomfortable to grab and hand may get cramps... But some SNES games are quite uncomfortable to play with the GC/clasic controller... e.g DK and Super CV IV.... now with this one :D:D

and teh best part is that you can find "nearly new" and "new" SNES controllers on ebay :)

I have found that the Classic Controller works fine for all my SNES games... Granted I haven't played any of the ones you mentioned on VC, but it has worked for me thus far.

If you don't mind losing out on the 3-in-1 aspect, you can purchase NES and SNES adapters right now (RetroZone has them in stock, for example). However, this one will be much cheaper than buying separates.

that is pretty nice.... :) Thx so much for the link... But yeap, like you said is cheaper this 3-1 one. I would pry just need the SNES adpater, but I guess is nice to have all 3 possibility just in case. :P

you can buy the "old-school" controllers quite cheap (3-4 US$) exc the NES which is harder to find on ebay.. and that plus teh adapter would be cheaper (so far) or the same as the CC... :)

they sell them new? all my friends that had n64's back in the day wore out their joysticks pretty good (please dont try to read into that  ). plus ive heard on the boards a few times about players with the same problems. seems like controllers themselves just werent built to last (cant really blame nintendo though. it was their first shot and all their joysticks since have durable).

Retrozone has been doing similar stuff for years now. But this is cool too and will prolly be cheaper.

It took long enough. I've been wondering for a while why everyone keeps coming out with crappy controller shells (like the Wii remote spatula attachment), but no retro controllers. It seems like a pretty big untapped market. I know retrozone has sold nes and snes ones for a while, but its $20 for one adapter and not 3. Not too mention there's no N64 ones. Personally I don't care cause the wii remote makes a good nes controller, the CC a pretty much exact snes controller and the GC controller is better than the N64 controller. My wife however loves the NES controller and won't play Mario 64 without an N64 controller so this would be very useful.

The controllers were never really a big deal for me. I love the G-cube controller, if fits perfectly in my hands. I would only get this for N64 games but I doubt it.
