it would be pretty cool, all they would have to do is include the basic version with a keyboard attachment to the wii remote, the wii remote could be used as the mouse.

it would be good for those who wanna play wow on the couch, and pc/mac version and wii version should be integrated.

That'll never, ever happen. The Wii couldn't handle it.

I'm surprised that this is coming from you. I think it's pretty impractical and wouldn't do anywhere near as well as the PC version, but it would be possible.

For balance issues, I'd make Wii specific servers. Instead of a keyboard peripheral I'd opt for a comprehensive hot button system that's customizable.

The majority of WoW players only use about 5 commands at any given time anyway. So they could pretty easily be set to the d pad, 1 and 2, and A and B. C could jump and Z could strafe.

I think that biggest issues would be drawing distances, calculation flooding, and loading, and big cities. The Cities could be helped by putting a lower cap on the population. Blizzard has always worked exceptionally well with minimal system requirements though, so I doubt that there is something that couldn't be resolved.

I'm sorry, but as much as I love the Wii, it couldn't handle WoW.

I run the game on a fairly high end PC and the game still doesn't run 100% the way I want it. It's close, but no way could the Wii do it. The game must run in atleast 60 FPS, have a high drawing distance, be set to the highest resolution, and have minimal loading times. I know how the game looks on minimal settings and on a slower computer, I can't play it that way. It could never happen. it doesn't need to happen. I wouldn't want to play it on any console. MMO's belong on a computer.

I agree with Ozz on this one. Even though WoW is an older PC game it still would be a bit too much for the Wii. However, I think it would be awesome if someone ported one of the lighter free PC MMORPGs to the Wii like FlyFF. It's free to play so it would attract a lot of people and have a nice community.

This is more of a 360 or ps3 kind of thing. I mean they're already using the 360 controllers to play on PCs. The only plans or ideas ever for it to come on a system was the 360, but this never happened.

The question wasn't would it be as good. It was whether it could be done at all. I play WoW on a 1.73G processor with .5G RAM and I avoid big cities like the plague. It's a work computer, so it's got a lot of admin programs gummin' up the works. It looks decent though and is still a good time.

Why can't you just play it on PC? If your PC can browse the internet, it can play WoW.

Laggy free wireless internet = a nono for the Wii. Plus, that would like break the theme of the Wii would it not? You know? Be active? Not sit on a couch wasting hours playing WoW.

Possible? Yeah. When I first played WoW, it was on a celeron 766 with 512mb of ram and a 32mb vid card.

But would it be good, or even fun, on the Wii? Nah. Not only would you be running at a lower graphical output than the average PCs are running at these days, but you wouldn't have the ability to install addons and you would have to get up to go look somehting up on WoWDB.com or wowhead.com or whatever. Not to mention you would be limited to the in game voice chat, which is pretty much useless since everyone uses Vent or TS.
