Well, Friend codes I dont mind them, they are passable and I can accept that Nintendo wants to be safe about their online system.

But the yesterday's release of the Check Mii Out channel the is starting to push it.

Individual Mii codes?!?1 That just ruins the whole point of searching. Also you have to put initials on the miis? Cmon Nintendo what possible harm can come out of searching a Mii's name? Also what harm can having a full Mii name displayed?

I don't know about you guys. But im starting to think they're going a little to far.

Im just saying it just makes it more difficult to search up individual miis. I would like to go and rate my friend's miis but I can't do that because of the fact that I need a code to search them up.

I know what you mean but I can see Nintendo's reasoning behind it. It may not have been the best decision but it makes some sense.

it all makes sense to me They don't need their online system to be cluttered up by the sick and depraved stuff that the internet is subject to I don't understand why any of you would have problem with it Wait, 'til Sony's HOME gets hacked and then you'll appreciate what Nintendo is doing

The whole concept of friend codes is flawed to its very core. People just go on forums like these and its even more dangerous like that. The fact that people are still playing and communicating with strangers is what FCs were supposed to stop. So we have a restricitive online system that doesnt even do its job while having a completely shallow experience online. So that leaves us with a lose lose situation.

I really think they should reevaluate this because there is tremendous force by the fans to stop this madness. They should just make a regular online system which involves only one username for all your games and you can search and send friend requests. Many trusted sites and gaming systems use it and with the parental controls on the Wii, Nintendo is not liable for lawsuit by really bored busy body mommies who got Nintendo to stop this in the first place.

At the very least let us talk to our FC friends. Like say MoH2 your playing a 32 player match and your friends are in it, at least make it so we can message and voice chat with them. At the very least appeal to us Nintendo!!!!

I've come to find out that the illusion of safety is easier to have than a real system that protects kids. All Nintendo had to do was make individual user names on the Wii that parents could restrict online access for their kids if they wanted to.

It's like that but not quite as dynamic as my example. I know the Wii already restricts games with certain ESRB ratings, I say the Wii should be able to restrict online modes too if those features are enabled by parents.

thank you. I remember writing something like this that you stated when the Nsider forums were up n running. It will just encourage "young ones" to go to un-safe sites and look for codes.

(last time saying this). But get ready for EA's sucky laggy servers with 32 players going at it since they cant even handle just 2. Also can you play as teams online in this game? If so its kinda pointless since u cant communicate with your teammates :|.

They can censor that, you know. I know for Xbox Live at least you can't put in words like that or they are censored.

Hysterically, the word "Nintendo" is banned on Xbox Live for your motto.

Yeah, I'm not going to lie. I agree 100% with the topic creator. Entering all of those numbers is such a hassle, It cripples the weak online even further. I might as well get used to it, the Wii is my only next-gen system. I play single player mainly though.

But Mii-codes, C'MON NINTENDO! really?

Nintendo should just have friend codes for a Wii and that's it. I have all my friends in my Address Book at the moment; I don't feel like I should need to re-enter their different codes for every online game. I mean, I understand on DS, each system doesn't have its own code, but on Wii they do.
