meh. Most movie games do suck, with the exception of spiderman. but then spiderman 3 came along..
so i guess ALL movie games suck now
It is truly hillarious that the topic accuses someone else of being narrow minded. Just because the other person doesn't enjoy the same games you (and arguably many others) do, you feel the need to poke fun at them. That would be the textbook definition of narrow minded. Live and let live, everyone likes different stuff. Find better things to do with your time than create labels for people who aren't like you.kokopelli76
thank you
^^^^Ouch. Harsh but true.
Anyway, the new Harry Potter looks like a good game (not buyng through) and EA said the Wii is the main version. Makes good use of the Wiimote and graphics are good.
i'd say a more accurate number is maybe 85% of movie games suck.
scarface was good, godfather was good, goldeneye was good, chronicles of riddick, the lord of the rings games, spiderman 2, etc
that said, i have been following harry potter closely, and this game looks like it might be really good.
also, isn't it kinda weird that you'd claim other people are narrow minded when you are assuming more than the person you're talking about?

My bad. I forgot about all of those games because i had two of the lord of the rings, spiderman 2 and Golden eye and they were great games.

Sometimes you forget that Goldeneye is based off of a movie. For some reason I found the movie utterly forgettable and the game more awesome than awesome.
I guess it's just hard to compare to the 8-bit and 16-bit days when movie games were held to a higher standard rather than just quick cash-ins like they are now. Disney Movie games come to mind especially, some of the best platformers of that era IMO.
I was in gamestop today and I preorderd MP3, Super Mario Strikers charged, BWII and Phantom Hourglass and then comes someone who just bought a Wii and He preorders Harry Potter 5 for the Wii and the employee asked him if he would want to preorder another game and he looks at the list and says there is nothin that interesting. Now its just me but I'm come to realize that most movie games suck bad epecially Harry Potter you can tell he won't have much fun with his Wiizachdragon
The only person who's narrow minded here is you. Have you ever thought that maybe, just maybe, there are people out there who enjoy these games and are not interested in Mario or Metriod? That being said, you can do far worse than Harry Potter when it comes to movie games, the Potter games are actually pretty solid for the most part.
Well, the "No, you're narrow minded!" card has been played enough, so I'll go for a different approach. Maybe the guy isn't real crazy about preordering games? Hell, I haven't preordered anything in six years. What's the point? You order the game, you show up when it's released and (if it's even in that day) it's just sitting next to a stack of the same game you could buy for the same amount of money, and a week later there'll be a dozen used copies for at least 10 bucks off.

the TC didn't insult or 'poke fun' at the dude at EB. True, the guy has different tastes in gaming, butit's not like the TC called him 'stupid' or an 'idiot'. He might be 'narrow minded' - butthat's not neccesarily an insult.Although it seems like he's not into gaming anyway. Also, he may not want to get ahead of himself and start giving away cash to EB. I personally never shop at EB - I can always find a better deal elsewhere at Target, JB Hi-Fior Big W.
What was ONE game based on a movie that was given an 8.0 or higher? Now that's a good question.camreeno360
Um... Goldeneye 007?
Are you sure several Star Wars games? Except for Republic Commando, that pod racing game, and Battle for Naboo, most of the official Star Wars movie games are trash. Most of the good ones are KOTOR 1&2, all of the Jedi Knights series, and the Rogue Squadron series.hiphops_savior
Doesn't have to be based on specific films for me, just a movie franchise.
Although Super Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Rogue Leader, Rebel Strike, Empire At War, X-Wing? Were based specifically around the fims and were awesome.
Oh forgot to throw in Stargate on the SNES.
[QUOTE="zachdragon"]Na I don't think so I 85% positive it will crash and burn like Pirates 3natebayne
Crash and burn like pirates 3? The movie? You cant be serious... it was excellent... defend your claim.
He was talking about the game based on the movie.
