The game is surprisingly clever. I've completely been taken by the collection/crafting ideas and the small minigames that come with making the fire and the bug collection etc.

All in all it has been a nice surprise!

Reommend it to people who have tired of the original 'TheSims' gameplay.

I think there should be more minigames e.g. minigames for building, crafting. Lost in Blue 2 is a good example of a game with appropiate minigames, there is building, cooking, spear fishing, animal trapping, animal fighting and archery - if you like castaway I would recommend Lost in Blue 2 to you (Not Lost in Blue 1 though)

I would recommend Lost in Blue 2 also. Sims Castaway was good, but too short!

It had a lot of really frustrating parts, then seemed like it was over. I would love to try to Wii version though... seems like the game goes on a lot longer, and maybe a little more in-depth.

The first one is a bit too hard and doesn't have as many things as the second one. The second one is basically an upgraded version of the 1st one, more minigames, bigger world, more things to do :D

I've been trying to decide if I should pick this up but I can't seem to make up my mind. I had the first Lost in Blue but I hated it because of its difficulty. I also haven't liked past sims games like Bustin' Out since it's so damn hard to keep your Sims' needs up (like comfort, social, hunger, bathroom, etc).

I've heard lots of good things about this one, though.....I may have to give it a try soon.
