Why are you pannicking about an information update? Calm down my friend, the manual that takes all of two minutes to read will explain any questions you may have.

Joke answer: Your Wii is going to explode.

Serious answer: You have got mail on the message board. Just click the little envelop on the wii menu.

lol. Its one of 2 things. You've got mail or your system is letting you know there are updates available (which would mean you just got your Wii?) If you don't like it, you can turn it off in the system menu.

And btw, the Instruction Manual is actually only a handful of pages (in english, its mainly made of of other languages) and has an extremely useful Table of Contents. You'll find the answer to most of your questions in the manual faster than GameSpot users can post an answer. Trust me on this. (syncing the remotes anyone?)

There are a few possibilities...

...your Wii is possessed. Sprinkling holy water on it should drive away those spirits.

...Nintendo has activated the mind control device built into every Wii. If this is the case, there's no need to worry: Just vote Shigeru Miyamoto for world emperor.

... you've received a message through WC24.
