Why did Nintendo make Wii Speak an accessory that sits on top of your sensor. Couldn't they have just made a headset? That would work better imo
I don't want my parents to hear kids cursing online if I'm playing a game like The Conduit lol

That is why they made it like that lol.
my parents are asian lol, im gonna get yelled at for playing "these bad games" because some enraged kid decided to curse me out
and the worst part is..everyone will hear me getting yelled over wiispeak because it's a microphone thing, not a headset =(
i dont mind people cursing, but you cant have people doing that when certain people like parents or kids are around :x
p.s. i actually dont own wii speak, so i dont know the logistics of it (like muting people, etc). but i was thinking about it because i was planning on getting it with the conduit
They probably won't have a headset, unless a third party makes the move.I'm leaning on not getting WiiSpeak until they come out with a headset.. the whole talking at my TV thing is just weird...

i hate how nintendo's butchered what could've been a great online community with all the hastle of friend codes, lag (in brawl), no action against hackers, etc. Wii Speak is just another thing to add to the list I suppose..
I think you can plug headphones into the t.v. can't you? Chojuto
i have a relatively large tv, headphones arent that long lol
I usually prefer typing in online games to talking. I prefer typing anyway. That is hard to do in an fps tho.
If it means anything, I have met a few people on halo 3 before that were surprisingly courteous and as geeky as myself, so I guess not everyone is going to be an idiot.
Here's my advice - just don't use Wii Speak. You don't really need it to play, in fact if you think about it maybe you have an advantage because they can't psyche you out and smack talk you.

I was hoping Nyko would make one, but there just don't seem to be enough games using it to warrant one:-/
Also, wouldn't it have to have the X-digit code that wiispeak comes with to activate it? Not sure if Nintendo would wanna hand those out to third party :(

wireless
I like the idea of wii speak just cause I have been over to a friend house playing gear or halo as a guest while he is just talking away with ppl and I feel COMPLETELY left out of the loop. Other than that reason Id like a head set...I can type and shoot at the same time and its important for team play to be able to comunicate information quickly. Idk I dont plan on having crazy lil 14 year old kids on my friends list so i dont think I will have to worry about it.

your not talking AT your tv...your just talking, it picks up the whole room
it's no cord attached and not too expensive...i thought this was a great idea...i wish the 360 had something like this, can't count how many times me and my friends wanted to talk crap to some peeps on halo 3 for team killing us....it's really really hard to do with just one mic
with the conduit you can mute people so it doesnt really matter and you can only talk to ur team mates (i think)
Never seen wireless headphones lolBi22ranger
Haha. They make them. They are bad (So I hear), and a ton of money.
No, you can get wireless headphones between 50 and 150 bucks, not that expensive.
amazon has a selection, quite a few under 100 bucks.
