If Mario and the gang aren't your thing, perhaps you should reconsider. Sure, there are some great exclusive titles for the Wii, like No More Heroes, Zack & Wiki, Boom Blox, and um.... okay, there aren't that many.
Most of the best stuff on the Wii are made by Nintendo. If you don't see yourself enjoying games like Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros. Brawl, Metroid Prime 3, or Zelda, you're not going to enjoy it nearly as much if you did.
You may appreciate the exclusive titles being released through WiiWare though, the equivalent to Live Arcade.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl *Technically isn't a "Mario" game and a must have for any Wii owner*
No More Heroes *To fuel that murderous intent hidden deep within your soul:)*
Mario Kart Wii *PLEASE!!!! BUY THIS GAME!!!!!*
Sorry, but I MUST mention these GREAT titles as well:):
Super Mario Galaxy *Addicting*
Metroid Prime 3 *Bad ass*
The Legend of Zelda: Twighlight Princess *Epic*
Wii Sports *Comes with your Wii system I may add:)*
Thrid Parties, just to name a few:
Okami *The GREAT PS2 game that got overlooked years ago, and now released again with Wii controls! AWESOME!!!!!:)*
Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition *Use of the Wii Remote makes this an INSTANT grab and SUCCESSFUL game!!!! Plus it has ALL the PS2 exclusives and the BADASS GameCube visuals!!! Can't beat it!!!! AFFORDABLE!!!!!:)*
Resident Evil: Umbrella Cronicles
Upcoming, just to name a few:
Disaster: Day of Crisis
Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World *You MUST PLAY the first one on GameCube before you play this!!! You have enough time:)*
The Conduit *A FPS being built from the ground up to take FULL advantage of the Wii's capabilities*
and no im not getting rid of my 360 but i just want to know: does the Wii have any decent games that are exclusive (apart from the marios, zeldas, metroids or comination therof)FOSyay
Of course, if you're into the violent types of games, there are more and more coming out. I think it's called Mad World or something? But, it's super violent and 3rd party, but the mario, and zelda, and etc. really are good games even I don't really care for Metroid or Zelda.
i own a 360, but bought a wii for the first party nintendo games. and i would not recommend the system if you are into the first party nintendo games. there really is not much else. dont be fooled no more heros is not a good game. at all...bluntmastaslaya
Everyone's entitled to their opinion, FOSyay:)
I say No More Heroes is a GREAT pick. If you have murderous intent and need that quenched...play No More Heroes.

The only reason to get a Nintendo system is for those games. It looks like your looking for an awesome 3rd party market my friend, the Wii however is not it.
I think this really has to do with what you like to play.I'm a wii60 owner and both machines get alot of attention.Of course I'm also 32 years old ,and when I was a kid nintendo was really theonly option, so I'm kind of attached to all the old nintedo IP's.The virtual console was alot of the reason I got the wii as well, for the same reason. So if you're open minded and don't think you're to hardcore for a nintendo system go for it .Sure the graphics aren't as good as the competition. But nitendo more than made up for it with innovation(and before anyone says nintendo didn't invent motion control,I know that. But they were the first to get it in to my house ,so they win)).Anyway I love my wii,but I'm also a total whore for Zelda, mario, metroid and all the classic nintendo titles. So if you're not into nintendos brand of awesome the wii might not be for you.But i guarantee if you give it a chance it will only serve to broaden you're gaming experience.Plus since my 360's going off for repair tomorrow I'm damn glad ive got my wii right now.cuffyone
Couldn't agree with you more:)

Same here... I'm about your age and am proud that I was raised on Nintendo.
1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl
2. Wario Ware: Smooth Moves
3. Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
4. Mario Kart Wii
5. Wii Sports
6. Wii Play
7. No More Heroes
8. Pokemon Battle Revolution
9. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King
10. Lost Winds
11. The list goes on. The Wii is the best console out there, and if you try new games you'll play it everyday.
