Xenoblade Hype Fuel!

In a recent poll, Famitsu, popular Japanese gaming magazine polled readers on their top Nintendo games of all time, these were the results:

I had mine preordered pretty much the day it was announced to come out to NA. It's my birthday present to myself.

I preordered a copy yesterday. The local Gamestop here is pushing it pretty hard.

Well. The game is awesome. It's the Wii game to have, if you enjoy RPGs. I should continue with it soon.. Kind of how I should continue with the other 10 great games I've started and haven't finished. :P

What is the release date on Xenoblade? Early March right? I don't know, the whole Operation rainfall bananza sort of killed my hype for this, will still get it day one, but I have no hype.meetroid8

I rarely do day-one purchases, but I don't really have a choice in this case due to Gamestop exclusivity. I'm hoping I'll get more out of this game than Monster Hunter Tri, a game that gave me similar hype but failed to meet.

Also, Nintendo of America's Facebook page is having a voting contest on what the reversible box art image should be.

2. Super Metroid

4. A Link To The Past
5. Majora's Mask
6. Metroid Prime
7. Baten Kaitos Origins
8. Wind Waker
9. Paper Mario
10. Mario Kart DS

Holy cow that is a hard list to make :P. It is always so hard putting games like mario Kart against games like Metroid Prime. Lasting appeal and multiplayer, or epic and memorable singleplayer?

So I had to let go of Donkey Kong COuntry 2 and 3, in addition to so many others such as SMash Bros. This is impossible :P. The first 3 were simple, then it got hard.

At least I can end my Wii with a bang and not a Skyward whimper.

lol I take it you were not a fan? Yeah as good as SKyward Sword was, it was dissapointing and I expect Xenoblade will be better (in my eyes).

I'm excited for it!

Hope you guys like it when it finally arrives! It truly is a fantastic game with a great combat system, great visuals and an amazing soundtrack. Have fun! :D

you pretty much have to have 1 particular character on your team at all times (though he/she is very handy so not a huge issue. im being vague on who it is on purpose). osan0

Nah, not really. I was surprised that people had the most different team formations. The battle system can be really deep, with most characters playing completely different. (Though I personally didn't care too much about switching them up :P )
