Sorry to sound like a jerk but People, Stop setting yourselves up to get let down. Most of the games that everybody is hyping are going to be Japan only games. This news doesn't upset or surprise me at all due to the fact that I realized that this would happen and is going to happen to Arc Rise Fantasia, Golden Bonds & many other highly hyped games. At least this game has a chance of still making it because somebody may publish it but I'm not getting my hopes up in the least bit.
Looks like Wii owners will have to wait a little longer

You should probably sit down, we have some bad news. According to NintendoEverything, XSEED has decided it will not publish the Wii exclusive Muramasa: The Demon Blade in North America. Muramasa: The Demon Blade -- which recently landed on store shelves in Japan -- is the new action role-playing title from Japanese developer Vanillaware, makers of the cult-hit Odin Sphere on PlayStation 2.
Muramasa was originally planned for release in North America as part of its US publishing agreement with Marvelous Entertainment US. According to NintendoEverything, XSEED states it still believes in the game and "will look forward to seeing it release in North America" -- as long as it isn't released by them, apparently. If you thought the wait was going to be long before... grab a Snickers bar, kids
they make it seem like they dont want too publish it in NA but they handed it off to annother publisher i dont know why but its coming to the us just a matter of when
This doesn't make any sense. Not being signed on from the start would be one thing, but this is like, "Oh, yeah, this game is looking great, but we've decided we don't want to be involved with it anymore, lol sry".
What?! I guess this means that the game won't be released in Europe as well... I was really looking forward to this game, I hope it will be released here!
I hope Atlus NA will publish the game. I can see them publishing the title since publish Princess Crown and Odin Sphere.

That's what I'm thinking. This just seems like an Atlus type of game to me. I adore Atlus, so I'm actually they do pick it up. You know they'll add some goodies with the game as well :D

I can't remember the name of the company, but there is an article on IGN that says the guys who did Odin Sphere picked up Muramasa and its coming to America in September.

Yes that one of the things that publishers do Then I hope Ignition does a good job with this. One of the comments in that article you linked said : "They've brought over so far that horribly translated DS visual novel". Kind of makes me worry...
