There isn't a Pokemon RPG for the Wii. The closest thing you can find is Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness for the Gamecube (which you can play on your Wii): http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/rpg/pokemongc/review.html?tag=summary%3Bread-review. It has an RPG like story-mode, but don't expect the same quality and freedom as in the handheld versions. Everybody is still hoping they can someday make the transition to 3D and make an awesome 3D Pokemon RPG on a console. Don't know what's holding them back.Sgt_Crow
i really have my doubts. if they havent dones it for the n64,the gamecube, and the wii, they wont do for it the wii u. the handheld games make more than enough money for nintendo while developing them at a cheaper cost
Yes, Pokemon Battle Revolution released in 2007. Bear in mind, the brand new 5th gen isn't recognized in this one, but this is the first ever wii game released capable of online, thus making this Nintendo's first ever game with online in the console gaming.wiifan001Does it work with SoulSilver?
Ah this topic again, the reason there isn't a true Pokemon game on the consoles is because it is a HUGE part of their handheld market. Pokemon single handedly dictates the movement of the handheld market. They will not lessen its impact in the handheld market, with the bigger and better console version. Sepewrath
I couldn't agree more. You raise the standard, then you have to raise the handhelds version as well. No one wants to play the 2D game anymore when it can be done in 3D (IF) with the same great experience and the bells and whistles. Pokemon still hasn't moved past 2D nor its 4 moves per Pokemon standard. It hasn't improve much at all, I mean it took 5 gen to just have animated pokemon in battle still without the correct pokemon "cry". It sticks to its tried and true fomula. If it keeps selling, why change? Unfortunately, we as the players get the short end of the stick because this game has so much potential to expand into good to great. It was great 10 years ago, but now its become good.
3D/raising standards=more money to make. 2d/as-is = milk the cow. Unfortunately, I do wish they would make it 3D and depth 3D pretty soon. They could raise the standard, but i doubt they would becasue like i said, if it keeps selling--why change?
Yeah the first thing I thought of was Pokemon Colosseum for gamecube and just play it on your Wii. It was an alright game, a bit disappointing though.
I think of all the console Pokemon games, Pokemon Stadium 2 was the best. It taught you the ins and outs of Pokemon battling in a fun fashion without being boring by presenting a classroom type setting, as well as a library to look up info on battling. The battles were fun as well because they had a commentator calling the action. Some people got annoyed after a while by it, but I loved it. They need to make a sequel and call it Pokemon Stadium 3. Do it like they did in 2, update with better graphics, more Pokemon, and the like, and most of all, don't let it be the crap that was Battle Revolution That was just a bare bones, 3d Pokemon battle game. I don't have a problem with them leaving the Pokemon RPGs on the handhelds, but at least they could give us something more like Stadium 2, and not Battle Revolution.Pokemon Battle Revolution was BAD. You can hardly call it a game.

Actually you should be apologizing for even mentioning that game.
Here's your Pokemon rpg. You're welcome.

My theory is that Game Freak are incapable of making a quality console game. They've tried, but each release was forgettable. Also, the Pokemon series has such low-level technology requirements that there is probably less demand, and higher costs to put anything on a console.so_haiGame Freak has never made a Pokemon console game
Actually you should be apologizing for even mentioning that game. He wanted a Pokemon rpg. I gave it to him. I'm not apologizing for bringing up the first game Nintendo brought online to on a console.[QUOTE="wiifan001"]
