Yay! Capcom made everyone upset!

Not only is the US getting the brand new, made for Wii rail shooter, but we're also getting the same games we played on the Gamecube on the Wii! Introducing RE0Wii and RE1Wii in what they are calling the Cl_ssics line.

See? Now nobody can complain, right?

I've never played RE 0 so I'll be getting that not sure abour RE though as I've already played it, I'll wait and see how it turns out.

Judging by this announcement can we now expect the whole RE Franchise to be released on the Wii in the form of this new"Resident EvilClassics" line or will these two games be the only games in the line-up?

I'm not upset at all. This is great for me. Bring on the evil!!:D

Why can't this effort go into making a REAL RE2 remake in the classic style?

If they're going to put the ffort into this they should be going all the way.

I would say yes, especially after the email stated:

"Capcom's new Resident Evil "Classics" line will allow the new audience who has embraced the Wii to experience some of the greatest games in the Resident Evil franchise for the value price of $29.99."

Obviously, the new audience doesn't know they can already play all but two or three Resident Evil games on a Wii and must be value priced into submission.

Capcom: We are proud to announce the introduction of an original, exclusive title for Wii. It's a rail shoot-
Fans: Wii hate rail shooters :cry: Why don't you make more RE Wiimakes? We want last gen ports!

Capcom: In addition to our new title, we are going to remake RE0 and RE1.
Fans: What? We're getting last gen ports remade instead of a new RE title? You stink Capcom!

Capcom: We are dishing out a new title: The Darkside Chronicles, the rail shooter.
Fans: It's not Resident Evil 5 though. You put developers to work on last gen titles and make a stupid rail shooter. That's four rail shooters total next to RE: UC, Dead Space Extraction and house of the dead overkill. Only two out of these four are actually out but we're already sick of rail shooters! You suck, Capcom! You abandoned us!

As a RE fanatic, I'll take any dose of RE Capcom will give me. I was a little dissapointed when RE2 wasn't included in RE:UC, so this is awesome. As for the RE 0 & 1 remakes I will give them a chance, 29.99 isn't that bad, depending on how much the games are changed.

I'll just buy them used. I want to play them, but I don't want to support Capcom's careless efforts.

These remakes had been announced by Capcom long ago for Japan. The only news is that they are coming to the US.

But really, who cares? If it upsets you, then don't get them. Easy solution.

Yeah Wii owners! Buy all of Capcom's new ports and 'shooters'! You love Resident Evil, so give Capcom the money so they can be funded to make GOOD games for the 360 and PS3 as you buy old-games for high prices and bad graphics for your Wii! Gotta love that little cycle...

It looks like Nintendo's new obsession with ports has opened up the idea to Capcom, since they previously said that these ports wouldn't be released outside of Japan.Rocky32189

The old Resident Evil games were great, but I hope they put more effort into the remakes than revamped motion controls.

agreed, their putting out quite alot of good games as of late too. Such as Resident Evil 5, Street Fighter 4, Megaman 9, Bionic Commando Rearmed, Street Fighter 2 HD remix, and more even further down the line like Lost Planet 2, dark void, and the new Bionic commando. So capcom is far from being a bad company its just wii only users tend to feel like they aren't getting the same treatment but its kind of expected since the wii isn't like the other systems and never planed to go in the direction they went anyway.

You're lucky, I've looked at it about 20 already. I thought this was going to go very differently and am glad i didn't invoke some old/new school flame war.

No doubt,I cant wait to play RE1 again!

You know whats gonna be really funny?! They're doing the same thing they did with the GC, bringing the old games. Wow, next time we hear about this line we gonna get RE2! Yes! The playstation one that they didn't even bother to touch up before rereleasing it to the GC, but now with Wii controls! Yeah, survival horror at its best with IR Controls, where you you don't even need it! As a matter of fact, you can go to EBAY and probably buy the GC games and it would be the same for a much cheaper price! F you Capcom. Darkside Chronicles... sigh, ok, gotta give it a try, it might not suck hard.

I'm only looking forward to Darkside Chronicles. I already own all the other Resident Evil's on other consoles. Can't wait for RE5 tomorrow though :D
