[QUOTE="Hegna1"]It would be nice, but I don't think the DS can handle it.EdwinDSy not? Because a DS card can only hold so much of memory?
the ds can handle 2-3 regions without downgrading their graphics or removing features.
the ds games like diamond and pearl are games that only fill up half of the memory possible.
they roughly take up about 60-70mb (i think). the maximum is about 130mb+. games that went that far are games like gta:cw, and twewy.
Yes, the DS can handle a Pokemon game with all regions. Pokemon Platinum was 128 MB and the biggest DS cartridge is 1 GB.

what game had that much memory?
they can even surpass the 1gb, if they use micro chips and stuff, but that would be expensive.

None so far but I remember seeing a official Nintendo DS cart retailer somewhere online and the sizes went up to 1 GB.
I think that if a Gameboy Color cartridge can hold 2 regions, a DS cartridge can hold 4 regions.
But I say no, because the Pokemon would all be level 100 by the time you got to the last region.
No. Because then Nintendo can never make a new region. If they're stupid enough to, then when they come out with a brand new region they'd have to come out with an updated verison of the "all-regions" game.
Maybe right before Pokemon dies (like, never) they can release sometime like that on a non-handheld console.

I don't think production cost would be an issue, if someone who liked pokemon walked into a store and saw a brand new game with all regions, it could have a $200 price tag on it and it would still fly off the shelves.

no dude thats alot of things going on at once too much as a matter of fact yes its a pretty neat idea i think they should keep the going back to the old regien thing like they had in Silver Gold and Crystal but only to like the prevoues one somthing like that. thats why i think silver is the best game simply BECAUSE u can go to Kanto after your finish with the elete 4 they need to take OUT the dumbass battle frontier and ADD another regien adventure like silver had. ShadowInfernapeyea the battle frontier sucks i would rather have another region in the game

I think so. I wouldn't, you obviously wouldn't either, but I will bet anything you likethere are tens of thousands of people out there who would beg, borrow or steal for any new pokemon game, no matter what the cost
And why all 4 regions in one game. I have platinum with sinnoh and i am going to by heart gold with johto & kanto. I will have totally 3 regions. What's the real diference between all in one and each game one/two regions?

I am wondering why nintendo can't make games with more space. M2 memory card for sony ericcson has more than 4 GB space... and is much much smaller than a DS game card... Maybe Nintendo plays games on us...
a game boy cartridge can hold 2 regions with the graphics and a ds can with game boy colour graphics but a ds is not gonna have gold and silver graphics plus sprites and new pokemonI think that if a Gameboy Color cartridge can hold 2 regions, a DS cartridge can hold 4 regions.

They could do it for DSWare if they really wanted to. Then you could just d/l the regions you want and even the event pokemon for them as well. The beauty part is it all stores on the DSi itself.

I think that if the Gemeboy Color runs 8 bits, then the DS could easily fit in Platinum graphics and four regions and at least all the Pokemon to date with 128 megabytes, as a megabyte is equal to over 8 million bits.
i was thinking of expansion packs.
maybe one 'core' game, that starts off with one region and the battle frontier.
then in the gba slot, or usb port, you can play in that region that is specified in the expansion pack.
Yes, the DS can handle a Pokemon game with all regions. Pokemon Platinum was 128 MB and the biggest DS cartridge is 1 GB.

Wrong. No DS cart exceeds 256MB (other wise known as 2Gb or 2 Giga bits)
a GB is a Giga Byte, or a 1000 Mega Bytes.
and to my knowledge Platnium is 128MB, but honestly guys theres no reason why the DS can't handle it.
all nintendo has to do is program it, if it needs say,.... 1.2GB of space then they could easily ship it on a Cart with 2GB flash memory just like they ship them with no more than 256MB flash now.
they are just choosing not too, to my understanding the DS has no limit to how much data it can read from the DS game slot.
the more regions the better IMO a little off topic but why no Pokemon Wii or Smash Bros DS??? i will never understand thatmurat8
Well, I think that the reason that there is no Pokemon RPG on the Wii is that if they did make one, it would be great and people would buy that instead of the DS games. This would cause a decrease in DS sales as Pokemon is the biggest franchise on handhelds.

I completely agree with this.No. Because then Nintendo can never make a new region. If they're stupid enough to, then when they come out with a brand new region they'd have to come out with an updated verison of the "all-regions" game.

That would be pretty awesome. I'd like to see shadow pokemon make a return.
Yes! I've said that many times before!
I don't want a new generation of Pokemon, I would much rather have a combination of all the old ones!

Fixed. I'm pretty sure its a 32MB Cartidge. In the Nintendo Developer toolkit, they have a 32, 64,128 and 256 MB cartidge and I read on a site that it does use a 32 MB cartidge. So there. For reference, the GBA games were only about 6 MB of data.

If you research on Wiki, there it says that diamond/pearl uses a 512 megabit card, which means it is a 64 MB. I can`t find pokemon platinum page but i remember that it was mentioned to be a 128MB card.
