I'm about 3.5 hours in and it is really a step up from the original. Some people say that the controls are a little shaky, but IMO, it's really solid. With all of the extra PS2 content on it, and for the price, this is a game you do not want to pass up. (Yes I have played the original. I played the crap out of it.)

Yea, I'd recommend this game to anyone also, it is AMAZING!

I just got the blacktail, Riot Gun, and the Semi-auto.

Also, the shooting is incredibly more precise. With the laser, it kinda fades away when pointed at distant objects (or heads) but the crosshair is really accurate.

Meh, I've got the game and I'm near chapter 2 and it feels the same so far.

I think you shouldnt bother if you already have the other versions. It's same game, just easer with the pointing controls, and knifing doesn't feel as natural.

I thought the controls were better than the ps2/gc version. It is still the same great game with a twist on the controls and a very good twist at that.

It includes the PS2 content though. And what do you mean the knifing doesn't feel natural? You hold down C and move where you want to slash with the joystick and press A to slash! What's so unnatural about that?

Actually you can swing the remote side to side and Leon will swing at the closest target

You know i can found humor out of the strangest things. At one point in this game i was being attacked by a mob of zombies. I decieded to run like a sissy cause i knew i was goin to die. I managed to get away, but with a sliver of health. I was running down a narrow path with only 2 ways to go. 1) back at the mob of zombies, or 2) take on one last zombie. Well i took on the one last zombie, and i paused to shoot for litteraly a split second, and bam auto kill head shot (where it makes the crunching noise and head blows up) and i laughed. I also enjoy scoring headshots on crows with the sniper rifle! I am, weird i know

I've beaten the GC version more times than I could count, only rushed through the Ada story once as it was on a friends game. Gotta say the $30 was well worth it, and I havent even gotten to the extras and unlockables

Shouldn't even be a consideration. I did everything one could possibly do with a game in the GC version, played it raw. The game is a big breath of fresh air on the Wii and most importantly, sets the standard of control for modern Wii action titles.

Yeah, but he was saying that RE4 for the Gamecube had more natural knifing... And it can be done exactly the same way on the Wii version.

Lets get this straight 8) The enemies in Resident Evil 4 aren't zombies. ;) They're an infected cult of Europeans. Oh, and I gotta try that crow headshot thing! Do their tiny little bird heads actually explode?

Albeit it's a budget title but when you already own the GC and PS2 version there's very little here to tempt me into buying it again. I don't think the controls are quite enough to do it. I'd much rather buy something new so that's why I opted for The Darkness on the 360, simply cos I haven't completed it a million times on 2 different formats.

But taking nothing away from RE4 it does again look like a soild shooter, there's just not enough here for me.

One thing that puzzled is that the joystick actually moves the aiming viewpoint so I can now shoot at the ones on the roofs or more accuretly aim the knife. Yes I know should have figured it out from the ingame manual. FYI when you get a bunch of them on you if you see A press it and you will jump kick them all away. Shaking them off is pretty funny to see if you do it in time. Hate they shrug off shots to the head a lot of times. Guess zombies are just more fragile since they are rotting.

Zombies, infected cult of Europeans, same thing. I knew they werent actually zombies its just easier to say that. Well i wouldnt say that the crows heads litteraly explode, as much as there whole body, because the rifle is so powerful, but either way, its still fun. Just make sure no zombies (my bad, infected cult of Europeans) are near. they will hear the shot and come for you.

I'm thinking that maybe I should rent it and see if I would enjoy it enough to buy. I played the PS2 Version and Heck RE4 is the best game I played all last year for the PS2.
