Mario Kart, Rocket Slime, Animal Crossing, and Mario Luigi Partners in Time. These are some great games and should not be passed up! Vegetaxxssj4My case in point. I hated Partners in Time and Rocket Slime I feel was much too easy.
Whew... That's gonna be quite a list.
Final Fantasy III
Resident Evil
Both Castlevanias
NSMB
Mario 64
Both Phoenix Wrights
Hotel Dusk
Tetris
Yoshi's Island
Mario Kart
Kirby: Canvas Curse
EBA
Meteos
Mario & Luigi
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime
Ummm.... Can't really think of any others off the top of my head, but that's definitely a start right there. :P
Games that I've had a blast with are:
Mario Kart DS - One of, if not, the best WiFi titles available; take part in GP races on WiFi, or on your own, and have battle mode with local friends or bots. Lots of courses exclusive to the DS, but also includes some from GC, GBA and SNES.
Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (also see: Portrait of Ruin)Â - Medievel Metroid; 2D sidescrolling platformer; do battle with the undead, vampires and other beasties, great replay value, also check out Portrait of Ruin; both are great games.
Advance Wars: Dual Strike - Strategy game, think Chess w/tanks, soldiers, bombers; lengthy and lots to do; includes multiplayer for local play; also many challenges, outside of the main campaign, provide a lot of game time.
NEW Super Mario Bros. - Traditional 2D Platforming at its finest; nostalgic themes mix with new ones, blend beautifully; basically like the original Super Mario Bros., but still a great game.
Lunar Knights - Much like Legend of Zelda, action RPG; control 2 heroes, w/many abilities, to battle vampires and undead; in-game weather effects and day/night cycle (lasts 30 min.) affects gameplay, environment and player abilities.
Final Fantasy III - Best RPG on the DS to date; functions by traditional or stylus control (or both); has WiFi email service which unlocks sidequests and the like; lengthy.
Yoshi's Island DS - Awesome 2D Platformer; not as good as YI for the SNES/GBA, but a worthy sequel; difficult to master, few unlockables; all around really fun.
Metroid Prime: Hunters - Great FPS w/good control; WiFi for lasting appeal w/good single player adventure; online ranks up there with MKDS, between the two, near infinite replayability.
Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2 - Just another puzzle title, but really fun to play; lots of stages to beat and unlockables; easy to learn, difficult to master; all touchscreen control.
Also, Diddy Kong Racing was remade for the DS recently.. its a lot like Mario Kart DS, but has different vehicles types (kart, plane, hovercraft), a create-a-course feature and includes an adventure mode, bosses, exploration, etc. While its not as high quality as MKDS, it, too, has WiFi.. which is just as fun.
While this is based off my own opinions.. I think many will agree that, at least, some of these games are of a higher quality, than most, on the DS. Either way, I found them to be great games.
