Well Metroid Prime Hunters came with my DS Phat but the first one I actually bought was Madden '05. The pickings were pretty slim for the first few months which is why I sold my Phat and didn't get another DS until the Lite came out.
When I was younger I thought it was the entire console game shrunk down onto the DS's tiny screens. Man how wrong, frustrated and disappointed I was! Still, despite the maze-like level design it was fun in small doses.

Mariokart DS and Sonic Rush. Got them (along with my DS) from a Best Buy in New Jersey on Wednesday, January 15, 2006 (don't remember the exact year, I just know I was a freshman in high school when I had it).
Well, I share every console I get with my brother and he does the same. In that sense it would be Metroid Prime Hunters: The First Hunt. When I got my own DS though it came with Brain Age 2 and I bought Phantom Hourglass along with it.
I got my DS after the release of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, I got the DS as well as the game Pokemon Diamond. So my first game was Pokemon Diamond followed by New Super Mario Bros.
I got the first DS the christmas it came out. It will always be a memorable momment for me. It's kinda of a long story but they way I got it was kinda funny. Anyways the first game I had was the Metroid demo and Super Mario Ds (Super Mario 64). I was so amazed when I played it. I loved the DS.
My first game was Mario Kart. Too bad I sold it 2 weeks after purchase. Never knew I could get really bored from it.-_Cloud_-
You got bored of MARIOKART? I guess you might if it's your only game, I just began a revival for my DSi, it plays way better. My first game was First Hunt and Super Mario 64 DS (which I played before that) combined. It's a shame no DS game to date has gone for the style of SM64, I still think it has the best graphics on the system...
