they suckSUPER_FLY_
Super Mario Bros 3 sucked?
Chronicles of Riddick sucked?
Simpson's for the DS sucked?
Transformers for the DS sucked?
Wall-E for the DS sucked?
They're all good games that were also the best versions of the games (in the case of the last 3)
Movie games are just like every other game, some are good and some are bad. You just need to be an informed consumer so you make sure you get the right ones
Goldeneye 007 = awesome
Riddick: EFBB = awesome
Super Star Wars = awesome
Indiana Jones Greatest Adventures = awesome
Can't really think of anything else to be honest. apart from those all the ones I've played have been 'meh' at best.
Super Mario Bros. 3 wasn't a movie game, it was a game with a movie for a commercial :P
For all of them you always seem to have to collect something to progress through the game which always makes you almost commit suicide..
so yes they suck..
Speed Racer! that is awesome. got it recently and i thought it would suck but it was actually really good. dare i say it, as good as mario kart?ARIFFLES
How....How DARE YOU!!
Some movie video games are good. Lord of the Rings, Battle for Middle Earth comes to mind (but to be fair, it's a video game based on a movie which is based on a novel). I think the other way sucks more....video game based movies... the only one I can stand is Silent Hill.
well i'd just like 2 say any game thats on any other console and moved 2 ds will be extremely watered down and therefore have a higher possibility of sucking - i'm not dising ds or anything just that so many features are missed out on
and the games to movies wat do think about that?
There are two ways to approach this. There are movies that turn into games likely from other sources like; The Lord of the Rings which was originally a novel and similarly Iron Man started as a comic. I find that these usually lead to the big disappointments becuase developers will have to work plot and character within movie parameters which can be stringent (Eragon is a perfect example of a failed transition). Conversely, there are video games that become the basis for Hollywood productions; like the Resident Evil installments and Silent Hill. Both movies which in my humble opinion are enjoyable to watch as they are to play. Hollywood admits to the alteration of significant content from video games, albeit they do so for the benefit of those who have not played those games; ergo scripts do not have to be written within strict parameters instrinsic to their video game equals. So all in all it's tricky business either way, although I feel that there are more poorly made video games stemming from movies than movies sourced from video games. Anyone forget about Atari's E.T.?

True. I liked the first and the third RE movie. I didn't care much for the second one. I guess horror video game movies are the exception. Well, not really... Alone in the dark and Doom movies kinda sucked...
I think that a good movie game is possible, it's just that movie video games have little time to be perfected since they have to be released before the movie is released. For example, if Iron Man or Hulk had enough time to be made, then I'd expect them to be more then money draining gimmicks.OsamaBinLagging
Yea, but most of them have the sole purpose of cashing in from the movie hype. It's possible to release the movie and game at the same time, and the game be good. For example, both movie and game for Chronicles of Riddick was released June 2004, and CoR was a great game.
But if time is a factor, it doesnt hurt to wait. Just look at LotR: BfME came : it came out a year after the last installment of LotR movie. For DS, Star Wars: The Complete Saga came out last year, two years after Revenge of the Sith.

I dont think the game's release date has much to do with how good the game is gunna be. i mean it could, the movie might hav been really popular and so the game might be as popular as the movie. But as we all know, this is pretty uncommon. and yes Spade_Crisis, that may hav been a little far with the mario kart thing but it is really that good. well, thats wat i think anyway.
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay....anyone?...
This game kicks ass its an amazing game.
