1.Super Mario 64: It is amazing nice graphics and awesome gameplay
2.Zelda Ocarina Of Time: The best Zelda game ever made.
3.Super Mario Bros: It is still an all time classic
PS....SMW is not the best, Mario 3, followed by the New Super Mario Bros on DS, then def mario worldda_chub
Guess I should have added "In my opinion." although I believe that was implied. I've played ALOT of 2d-platformers and SMW is my all-time favorite.
While I did enjoy New SMB on the DS it really felt like just a catch-all Mario platformer. It didn't really seem to have it's own theme or art-style. Felt more like a big Mario nostalgia-factory, which wasn't bad, I just didn't feel it had much of it's own "spirit" so to speak.
I don't have any games on vc but games I've played on their original consoles I would go for
1 paper mario
2 mario 64
3 mario kart 64
"I like mario"
Not that I didnt enhoy SMW, but it seemed really short. Other then Yoshi, it wasnt original, didnt introduce much else to the series. Some of the worlds only had like 4 levels to beat. Yea, there where other paths you can go, but you had to replay the same level over and over. i know you do that in other games, like SMG or 64, but atleast the levels are huge and immersive.
SMB-3 introduce elements that make it last forever. Like the countless different suits you can wear. there where 8-10 levels in each world. maybe you cant replay them, o well. SOme of the levels designs where the best of all mario games, SMW wasnt challenging at all for me, but i still have trouble on the doom ships, and many other levels.
New SMB maybe be a catch-all mario game. but so what. it is long, yea, you replay the levels, but not only that, there are way more levels, maybe there isnt a flying suit, which i did miss, but it was nice to see mario return to his roots with a 2-d game that was amazing. For me, 2-D mario games are the best, i loved SMG and M-64, but i miss mario's 2-d days...
